Question ....anyone .....if anyone was watching the 6th at Belmont.....I ..was. watching..no betting intrest...anyway the 3 broke out of the gate ..as the 6/5 favorite ..the race was locked .....you couldn't cancel or bet......after the horse broke out and ran a bit......the race still was locked..you still can't cancel..So that being said......is it true .once the betting is closed..It cannot be reopened. .? The 3 finished dead last......and i have to believe .that burst of energy had to take a bit out of him..

I dont know the rule but Im pretty sure the pools can not be reopened. A few years ago the same thing happened in New York and there was over a 5 minute delay and the pools didnt reopen then either.

Yeah that is BS.IMO they should scratch every horse that breaks through the gate.It obviously affects performance a lot .

Looked at Hollywood before I read your post and didn't see anything I felt confident enough to post but these two are the best I saw.

Race 5
1-El Tovar 12-1-----If not for the humans involved I would be all over this one but jock and trainer both haven't won maybe ever.

Race 7
5-Majestic City 8-1-----This is Paynter's comeback race so he could just be too good but thought this one was arguably 2nd best so at the ML it would be an overlay.

just hit the tri at belmont it was only a three horse race but the finish worked out best for odds 9-2 won it and machoman came third

I know a horse player that is now in his 70's he has hit more then 1 pk6, several high 5's when they first came out until he quit playing them, several pik4's. His wager of choice is the $1 superfecta unless he finds value in playing the tri to then he plays both wagers in race with the occasional ex for big base. His ticket cosntructon is 4 or 5 horse box sometimes he goes 1,2,3,4/1,2,3,4,5/1,2,3,4,5/1,2,3,4,5 and sometimes less on top however he keeps his super wagers under 280 a race unless he puts in for tri to. I have seen him take entire pools and split several as well, he is a successful gambler and taught me a lot.

Hollywood #7 today seems at first to be a lock for the favorites, but I took a 2nd look at #3 Dime Que from Chile at 20 - 1. He's run a very fast mile (on turf) in South America, but has been consistently working out well (fast) on the dirt at BHP. Just a thought.

Have a hunch this one might get out more alertly and give it a run here. Castellano stays aboard, trainer has hit at least one big price (possibly 2)2nd out maiden. Works since debut sharp and feel his pedigree probably better suited for dirt than turf

I think Top Kisser is kind of a no-brainer too.. singled him too.
