Mike you had a very good day in team contest and had to carry us lol also glad you get to try for win on real money with the roi challenge next week cause I think you need to be in for BC. I only played a few and did not connect with anything on to another day. I capped as if track would be cuppy and the closers would come in lol in reality it was just the opposite lol.

Race 6(John McSorley Stakes)
3-Artest 10-1 should get a good pace to close into and Varsity may be vulnerable first start back from Dubai.
Race 10(GII Monmouth)
3-Boisterous 5-2 looks tough in here as the only form that is on his level is 10-Two Notch Road 12-1 in 2010.That one is 2nd off the 2010 layoff so who knows what went wrong or if he is still any good but his first race back was good enough.The other two for me are 4-Wrote 4-1 who won the 2011 BC Juvy Turf and 8-Tune Me In 6-1 who has 14 starts on Monmouths turf with 5 wins 5 seconds and 3 thirds.

Churchill Downs
Race 5
12-Neidermeyer 20-1 might be worth a look .Trainer is good with horses making their first route try and also very good at 2nd career race.This one was closing fast in a 5f turf sprint now stretches out to a mile.
Race 8
7-El Jefe Grande 10-1 is the overlay at his ML and would be the w/p bet but Mike Maker is crazy good in these spots so expecting 5-Kiss Of Thunder 3-1 to be a worthy favorite.The other one is 3-Cone Of Light 10-1 who has wanted more ground in both career starts ,the question is turf.
Race 10
5-Pegasus Star 20-1 and 7-Delta Golf Alpha 10-1 aren't getting the respect they deserve on the ML.They both did all the dirty work on a hot pace last out and the favorite in this race 1-Layton Register picked up the pieces.Will try to beat that one with the 5 ,7 and 4-Leadem In Ken 6-1 who gets the first turf,blinkers on makeover and B Mott's 6-The Man Himself 6-1 who is better than his first start where he got bumped and caught a wet turf course.

Woodbine

At Golden Gate in race 6(Silky Sullivan Stakes) it probably between the 2 short priced Baffert and Gaines but I think 2-Havoc 15-1 is a little interesting making first turf start and first route.

Mike, just curious on your handicapping. How many tracks do you look at a day?? Do you cap every race of the tracks and then play the ones that you think should outrun its odds?? I personally play only one and may be two tracks. After awhile, I get a headache just looking at the form, lol. Thanks in advance.

Usually I only look at 1 or 2 tracks but I get figures for every track everyday so sometimes when I drink too much coffee I go through all the major tracks and then a few of my favorite minors.

When I look at a lot of tracks I just skim through looking for vulnerable favorites or stakes races and then I get into that particular race more thoroughly.

i think with ground being the way it was and the distance he had to come from, he was so far back....he suked wind a bit in the stretch ...he was moving forward ,but barely....if he was just 5-7 lenths closer at the start .he would of been , hey gary stevens and mike smith......he if you want it .i got a program for you with .with luis saez autograph.....the classic little one...

Thanks Mike. In greyhound racing these types were a dime a dozen. Often wondered about horses wanting to pace the lead and not run by. Saw one at Gulfstream when I was there in January. Something like 20 starts 5,4,6 2nd 3rd and fourths. My friend and I boxed tri's with him 2nd and 3rd and throw out the fav he wins by a nose with nice prices all around.

mike thanks for the 4 in the 10th at Churchill ,my follow up river boss won paid 19.20 I used your 4 to complete the pick 4 .... leadem to ken. it would have been nice ,I used the 5 and 3 in the middle leg and the 3 had a 8 lenthg lead into the finish at 8-1 the 5 was 6/5 big difference

I play supers because I Think the pool is full of dime players that are pulling a handle,playing the lotto etc, and usualy key a horse 1st and 2nd with 4 others then all in last slot with a couple of toss outs most the time in last slot and play patiently have had some nice winners on a dime however it is ticket construction and mostly play in bigger fields unless a smaller field offers some value and sometimes maybe squeeze out a exacta if my horse from stable mail is in a small field
