Six races. You can find them here: http://www.drf.com/events/breeders-cup-2011-challenge
I'm doing a little project revolving around these six races, and decided to keep a simple public record for them. The first one was this weekend, and I'll repost an earlier post:
I couldn't find value with this race. The superfecta (7-4-1-3) paid all of $200. Not what we're after. Selections 1, 3, and 4 led almost the entire way until recently retrained #7 First Dude beat #4 in a foto finish. Impressive job by Baffert for sure. This six race package leading up to the Breeder's Cup is part of testing a method, so even though I missed the winner I was happy with my overall read of the race, and seeing #4 give the jockey an extra burst of speed down the stretch when challenged by #1. I think Sutherland thought she had the race, and she never saw #7.
Feel free to comment with insight on this race. All input appreciated. Next race on July 31st.
