won 2nd off the layoff in his 3rd career start and tries same thing today in his 5th career start.. really not that far off from what it takes to win this race.. would also say that when you factor in all the inexperienced or bad turf jocks at this track, james graham who hits at 14% at the big tracks
is probably best turf rider in this field

could easily have won if debut was at today's distance vs7f.. winner of that race came back to win next out.. even fade running line on the turf last out and was back in 19 days.. back in 21 today at 6f and feel she's better than this bunch.. cost a lot for the pedigree which is always a positive for me

finished 2nd behind expensive pletcher debuter army mule who's gonna be a good one down the road.. have a hunch that one may go in the woody stephens on belmont day. trainer excellent sprint to route,first route, 2nd start.. irad ortiz riding lights out past 7 days

broke maiden 2nd start and back in 43 days .. returns here in 40 days 2nd off 5 month break...mdn breaker at laurel and victory in the G1 alcibiades nice wins last year..the latter came up very fast with the pace figs and she was close to the front which is always a good sign..didn't do much in her last race but still to me a good leg stretcher..don't think graham motion would send her here if he didn't think she was up to it...nice foundation of fair hill and pine meadow works before and after last race so she should be nice and fit

Do you think if she was a bit calmer getting into the gate it may have been different? Seems like she used a lot of energy.

she was pretty testy loading...took them a while and finally had to back her in from the front. .never helps but hard to put a value in lengths on that

think they'll be a legitimate pace which will set it up nicely for him.. probably was compromised last out with only 4 others running..solid 2yo form and has had to deal with a couple of extreme posts along the way..sure hope he'll go off 15-1 but I doubt it

R11 #6 watch me whip (12-1)

broke maiden first out last start at 7f and figure in that race one of the better ones in this field..top and bottom route pedigree and high dpi means he's a half (or full)to a really good one..ridiculous morning line

highest brisnet figure in field overall except for classic empire's bc juvenile..ran it winning the illinois derby last out and the pace he closed into was just average which makes it more impressive..think they'll be a decent pace to set it up for him..another morning line that is imo ridiculous

turf,clockwise,seems like wide turns and long stretch. .seems to play pretty fair..big fields and get the feeling it's very on the up and up (no drugs)..over $150 million + us dollars bet on a typical card (translated)...all the pp info available at the site hkjc.com.. very detailed trip info and you can watch the gallop outs after the race..I think I've only scratched the surface with useful info on their site

stopping at 20 on the parlays so have 7 first legs left ..see what happens

Hey JBEX: Checked out the Beyer for the Illinois Derby. Multiplier got an 88. Big difference from the 104 Brisnet assigned him. Maybe that is why he is 30/1 on ML. Does that give you a cause for pause? Will be interesting to see how he runs today.

just found out that the beyer figure for the illinois derby was very low which explains the morning line..there about 10 lengths apart on performance
rating so don't know what to make of it honestly..if I were just using beyers would be a no play

How much more Early speed is in the field? I wonder if it will go down different than the Derby. I'm kinda stuck because my numbers from my very limited handicapping experience (a couple of weeks...) keeps me heading back to Classic Empire. I'm excited to see what happens. lost some faith in brisnet with the big figure they had on multiplier in the Illinois derby.. have a hunch they are less accurate than drf, timeform and others.. can't afford the type of product I'd need from those mentioned so gonna stay away for awhile
