Hey Joey just curious, do you ever do anything with quarter horses? I love Los Al and also Lone Star and Sammie when they have their Qtr meets. I have some kind of love affair with Paul Jones (trainer at Los)

I love the Qtr's @ LosAl; I grew up 5 mins from that track and that is how I got started. I play that track and Balmoral all the time. Love the exotics especially @ Balmoral and hv done pretty good on the Pk5's and Supers.

Well to be honest I'm kind of really invested in football and baseball right now. But if anyone has a question about a certain race at one of those tracks, or driver/jockey/trainer question etc. I'd be glad to help and give my insight. If I'm runnin bad in sports I might post some picks once in a while.
As a rule, for Balmoral you really got to play drivers and stay away from big longshot (rarely come in). Theres some good money to be made on the 50 cent pick 5 and the late pick 4 but I find their doubles and p3's are a rip off. And you really gotta watch Michael Oosting if he's having a GOOD or BAD day. My OTB buddy is a state trooper and has repeatedly pulled Oosting over for drinking/driving. On the record Oosting has 2 DUI's. Off the record my buddy has received some "Inside info" in exchange for letting him go (oosting is an alcoholic). You really gotta watch that guy when he's on his game/in good mental state.
More shots pop at maywood and what i notice over there is when a no-name driver gets bet down. Eg. Tom Insko, Gary Rath, Casey Leonard, Travis Seekman, etc. Never fails I see one of those guys get bet down from 20-1 ML to about 4-1 and they run like a 1-9. I've made some good money using this factor as well as playing 50 cent tri's purposely using the 6/7/8 horses to get a good payoff. Maywood likes to run an inside chalk with outside bombs (talking about post position).
In case you're not familiar both tracks offer a 10 cent high-five(pentefecta) in race 10 every night.
As far as Los Al, like I said before I LOVE to hammer Paul Jones trained horses. He had a mount at Zia earlier today that I had a little bit of money on (off at 5/2). As you probably know the inside-outside bias plays heavy most of the time so you really gotta see hows the tracks firing. Last but not least A REGAL CHOICE by FIRST DOWN DASH breeding is some great under-rated 1st time starter breeding to watch for (besides the obvious FIRST DOWN DASH/DASH FOR CASH/BEDUINO/CHICKS BEDUINO etc). More recent breeding to fire I've seen (former PJones horses) Wave Carver and Ocean Runaway.
Oh and these trainers always are among the top at the Lone Star quarter meet so watch Trey Wood, Galbreath, and especially Heath Taylor (few mounts but likes to win the BIG ones)

Good read about Balmoral/Maywood.
I always throw Oosting out when I try either track. He gets bet down at both and when he doesn't he's in the Tri/Super or Pen-fecta's somewhere but not 1st to often if he's on the chalk!
Put 8 #'s in a hat and pick 2-3-4 or Five and if your lucky
Nobody can consistently win except the house!
Your odds are 50/50 in sports but........
