If this were a regular season game, he'd be out like Ali did to 'Smokin' Joe, 'The Hitman' verses 40+ who got ko'd, etc. Being frustrated does not give a player the right to start a fight - you know that as well as I. The N.H.L. should promote itself with positive play not the cheap shot the pha-ker took. Don't worry, he'll get his sooner than you think but at least he'll know why it's coming and see it. The game is more important than the players and as such should be protected. Apparently, we disagree on this one. FYI, somewhere in the hockey forum I did mention I wouldn't have a problem with him being on the ice that way the PIT fans won't have any excuses.

*BAM* 46 seconds in to the 2P, and the Wings take the lead 2 to 1. Another goal here and the over will look really good and PIT is looking frustrated which might lead to a couple 2 on 1's or 3 on 2's advantage for DET.

Tonight used BM & a local who matched the lines with the in game action. You do realize that the 1' is 1.5 (one and a half goals) not one, right? I presume as much.

I still think Pittsburgh has a fair chance of turning the tables on Detroit at least in the 5th game tonight.

Datsyuk or no Datsyuk, I expect the game to once again rely on the goaltenders and less on the other stuff - like faceoffs won, power play conversions and blue-line turn arounds.

What leads me to lean this way is the lack of game-control shown by the red wings right after the Pens equalized the second goal in the 4th game.

A seasoned team like the Red wings ought to have known better : SLOW THE MOMENTUM BY TAKING TIME-OFFS or BY BREAKING SOME GLASS or WHATEVER !!

They did absolutely nothing to put the brakes on the pens.

When you see the opponents firing all pistons you dont add to the frenzied pace of the game by chasing the puck end-to-end, making a feeble attempt to appear responsive; you slow it down ...you slow the pace down to a lull.

If the wings dont let cooler heads prevail I see this going very badly.

Also both the teams might again create a goal drought by playing defensively.

How? One can not score a half goal. The line is set at 1.5 goals (for the period). I've been playing the over for nearly all posted periods here all season. That's why you no make sense to me. Think of the 1' as a total points scored in a quarter for a basketball or football game. Hope that helps.

Thank you JustFlipACoin. There is no such thing as an "easy game" far as I'm concerned (but I get your point

). To close out any series, especially the finals for any sport, will not be easy as the team that's on the verge of losing will come out with everything they have and nothing to lose. Think of the previously mentioned team like a wounded/cornered animal - they will fight with everything they have to stay alive. Game six is Tuesday, it should be good one.

One step at a time, first the Wings need to close the series.

I haven't a clue but know it won't disappear since the season will be over - it might drop down or off the front page but I'll have a non-working link to the thread added to my siggy since not allowed links in their.

We are in need of at least one more person.

You know I'll be here if able.

Hopefully won't need to go to the Joe one more time season but if that happens, we will be in an upper box. If there is no game seven, I'm thinking the parade will be either Friday or Saturday and for that, we'll be there.

I can and will assure you I am solidly in the black for all N.H.L.

I agree with you 100% that why I would think the play would have to be the over here. Pitt will come out flying and trying everything to get first blood. I think this should be a great game and a great over. what do you think? I really don't think pitt can force a game 7, but hope they do.
