Why did you take both the Over and under in the wings game?

In set betting thats' what you do.
You take the team you think will win on the PL,
then you take em on the ml with an over and an under on each.

this way, if your team wins on the PL, they also cover one of 2 parlays to hopefully get each set at 2 for 3.

I was recently introduced to this type of "set betting" and the early results were positive. The last few have gone the other way. But the guy I got this idea from has made great money doing it. He picks his spots, and he actually told me to go the other way in the Leafs game, but as a homer I had to play em. I thought maybe they would come out angry after the sens game on saturday. seemingly I was wrong.

set bet update:

I knew I was missing something with the "set bets". The bet amount for all sets should be the same. so if you do $10 on the PL, then the 2 parlay's are to be $10 per as well. This ensures that the parlay's recover some of the loss in the event of a PL loss.

tonight since I am not betting any fav'd teams on the PL, there is no set bet.

SO last night, I only got 3 hits of 15 set bet wagers. I ended up spending $220 on the 5 sets. (only the caps set was wagered correctly as all wager's were $20, sadly they lost outright) BUT of those 3 hits though, I was able to get back $120.86. (54.93% of what I wagered) I went 3 out of 15 and got back 54.93% of what I risked.
I think I can see this being a profitable system IF I can actually start hitting the SU winners.

Im going to stick to this one for a while. I like it's long term potential.

I know eh?!!? Lets hope normal means that we start hitting some plays like "normal".
This season has been ridiculous to me. I thought I was starting to get a better feel for whats happening......it seems that every night is a total crap shoot- with the occasional lock thrown in just to keep us honest. Parlaying this season has not been as easy as it was last year. But then again, december/january is really when it becomes a touch easier, as the good teams have some separation and it is a little easier to handicap the games themselves.

Ah well, it will turn around as it usually does. And we will hit a couple big parlays that will allow us to wager all year. Just a matter of time before it happens. Time's a moving....that's in our favour.
