Less than a week ago I was 17-13 about +11 Units
What a swing of things these past few days, I don't think I had a bad run like this all last season, pretty disgusting and disappointing, but the NHL is like pissing in the ocean and drinking it a century later....
Nobody is winning right now, and being one of the best NHL cappers Im trying my best, but just cant figure the NHL out right now.

Im sure you are very knowledgeable and an excellent capper, i guess its just a pet peeve of mine when people constantly tell others how good they are, especially on an internet forum. Rod does the same thing.
As for your comment about no one beating the books, im having a great start to my season, up about 15 units right now, playing mostly dogs, a few favorites, and homer picks on my penguins. Just because people dont always post their picks, doesnt mean there arent plenty of other people on this forum making a lot of money. In fact, id bet the most succesfull gamblers on this forum are the quietest ones. (Not saying im one of themn at all though...)Comment -
Yeah the only reason anyone is up is because theyre playing nothing but dog, they keep that up they will get grilled in a few months.

I took mostly dogs + Penguins last year...had a very, very good year. This year is looking a bit bitter, but close enough to my pace last year. I dont take every dog, i take the ones that have value. I play some favorites too, just not the crazy -180s that some people play.
But i guess ill keep betting like a retard...hopefully ill have the same retarded profit that iv had the last few seasons. Good luck the rest of the way.Comment -

As for the penguins they were like -200 favs for 3/4 of the year, around christmas when Crosby had that like 25 game pointstreak they won every game and you couldnt even bet on them despite knowing they were going to keep on winning, -200,-300 it was ridiculous.Comment -
I didnt say that. I dont bet every dog at all. Thats just a blind system, and dumb. I bet the ones i like, the ones that i believe have value. The games where a team is like +140 but in my opinion, its a 50/50 game that could go either way. And i didnt bet JUST dogs. I take some favorites in the -100 to -130 range. I dont like eating much more juice then that, unless its great value.
As for Pens, I am a homer Penguins fan, but you are right about the juice. I had mostly Penguins Regulation bets when they were at home and the juice was high. Or Penguins -1 bets, which push with an OT win. Like i said, those were mainly homer bets to make my hometown penguin games even more exciting.Comment -

Yea it sucks, the books make it tough to bet on them, you have to get creative with either -1 bets, regulation bets, or the opposing TT U2.5 bets.
So far this season, the Pens have actually been really good value. But once Sid comes back, im sure their lines are goin to be juiced as shit. Especially if everyone else is healthy.Comment -
Yeah thats exactly what I did with Van last season, I picked my spots where there juice was medium and then took regulation to get about EVEN juice, it was nice.
If Crosby comes back and does what he does... Pens are going deep in the East.

Yea, they managed to play a really good defensive game, even with a bunch of 3rd/4th liners throughout the roster. Defense + Goalie has gotten them far. I cant wait to see a healthy team though. Feel like i havent seen that in years now.
Speaking on Pens, i like them today (Obviously lol). I actually think it wouldnt be bad to bet on TOR if Reimer was in, but with Gustavsson, i can see the Penguins scoring a few ugly goals in. So far hes allowed less then 4 goals in only 1 of his 4 starts.Comment -

Viper, keep in mind for next year, betting dogs early is the play. It shows that Vegas has trouble setting lines early in the season. The first 100 games last year, if you were to bet the dog each game, you would've been up 31 units, this year I'm sure it's similar.Comment -
