Im back!! Get ready for a crazy money making 2012 NHL season

This may be a stupid question but I am a newbie so oh well....

I use a sportsbook that I know basically everyone hates but seeing as I was new and didnt know a thing about what I was doing at the time I joined....

My question is I do not see where I have the option to put a wager on regulation...only "yes or no" on if it will go to overtime. Is this just even more confirmation sportsbook is trash or am I overlooking this?

Yeah I have signed up for an account with 5dimes just have not gotten around to loading it up with money yet. So since it does not give a regulation option should I just place a bet on the ML? I am new to sports betting and even more new to hockey lol so I have all odds against me but I am trying to learn so any feedback is appreciated.

well u can either place a bet on ML, and lay the juice.....or you could just do puckline -1.5, meaning of course your team has to win by 2 goals in regulation. Clearly thats less likely, but its a big +......im sure your book would offer puckline

Yeah they have puckline, ML and the o/u. I guess I am just trying to figure out if I should throw my money at the ML and take the juice or if I should throw my money somewhere else. Being from a city that does not have a hockey team I have minimal exposure to all of this so it is probably dumb for me to even be trying to flip money on this but you all seem to know what you are doing and I have been following this thread trying to get my knowledge up but without having the same options to put my money out there on I am curious if I should just look at other sports or just take the hit and do ML outright.

Well the juice for SJ is about -135, so not too bad....maybe just do it for LA....since my book has them at a -179

Just to be sure, the regulation is ML or -0.5 because the juice is very diffrent between those two.

This is why I don't cap until Christmas or later...

Thats what I did last year, You can see on my list of records I barely had consecutive losing days and it was just win after win after win for months............

Last season I never lost more than 2-3 days, and If i had a loosing day it was either 2-3 or 1-2 or something...

This is very frustrating for me and I am really disappointed.

I mean are you gonna tell me Pheonix was the wrong play up a goal with a minute left, then not able to win 9 rounds of a shootout..................

Anyhow... don't really know what else to tell everyone, it is what it is. You wanna bitch and complain go ahead. I'm still above .500 and this is some of the shittiest weeks of sports betting Ive ever had.

Not hating at all here...I think you are a good capper.

But why did you like PHX so much? I agree, given the way the game played, you'd like to think that a team can sit on a 1 goal lead with a minute left and win, but that aside...

I think if this game is played 10 times, each team goes 5-5. IMO was the most even game on the board, and although DAL is a pretty average team, theres not much value in betting against them right now with Lehtonen playing that well. They've been outplayed time after time this season, yet somehow keep winning.

As far as comebacks in the NHL this season, is it just me, or has it been absoutely non stop with comeback after comeback. October isnt over yet and i can already think of 10-15 games i lost on goals to tie the game in the last 3 minutes of the game. I cant recall it ever being THIS bad before. So many 3rd period blown 2 goal leads too...
