Prop I like for tonights NHL action is Team that scores first wins YES -245.

These are always around -240 but in this series above all others, the first goal is critical since it changes the way the game is played completely, from personnel used to systems played. It's much easier to play with the lead than trying to catch up. It also brings up lots of free hedging opportunities in a series like this if the first goal is scored somewhere in the middle of the 2nd period, especially is NYR scores it. Washington will likely be around +250 or so at that time. Being a low scoring series, I think it ups the value of this particular prop.

Worst case scenario for this prop is Washington scores early in the 1st period. With Under 5 being juiced so heavily I'll take my chances that the first goal is scored sometime after the first 10 or 15 minutes, giving good value to this prop.

I could easily see Caps putting a quick one in the first. I am on the Caps OVER 0.5 [1st] -105, and I expect this game to go to OT (again).

Well, honestly, in a game I consider 50:50, I just have to throw 200€ on the Capitals, hoping they don't turn into the Crapitals again tonight.
So for me, Capitals @+126 with 200€ it is.
Maybe I'll even throw 50 on the 1st over.

Very boring game. Can't remember a game 7 this boring. Kinda sad the NHL is heading back into the trap era. Bettman is gonna have to come up with a solution to this defensive trend. 4 on 4? Penalties for collapsing in front of the net? Bigger nets?

Well DG when 1 hockey game ends the gambling addict in me begins looking for the next play.

I like, in fact I love, FIN/USA o5.5 and 5dimes is giving it at +120. USA is giving up 3 goals a game and gave up 4 to CAN I think FIN and CAN are similar in their offensive ability so I can see USA giving up 3 maybe 4. On the flip side USA is goign to come out playing much more aggressive after their last game. I wish 5dimes had 1st period o/u for these games I'd put all I have on the over in this game I see it being a 4-3, 3-5 or 4-5 kind of final. I also parlayed the over w/ USA ml... I mean hell France won and they were +1000 dogs on 5dimes so why not?

Defensive structure is starting to fall into place for the power nations now a week into the tournament. We saw it with shutouts for both Canada and Sweden where earlier they were having breakdown after breakdown even against weak opponents.

These were clean shutouts too, no real quality chances in either game. Canada's only dangerous chances against were direct results of Dubnyk's poor play/rebound control.

I'm not a fan of USAs blueline but I think we can start to expect some lower goals against totals for the stronger teams in the tournament now.
