The books were really sharp to start this season and they got me along with others. I am glad it was now and not later in the season, get all the bugs and loss' out early.

Have a strong feeling the rest of this season is going to just roll now...Big day in hockey saturday, will have a few picks.

Baxter, what do you think about Philly Saturday? Don't really see them losing four in a row at home and getting them at -156 (Pinny) is pretty decent against this Leafs team. Kinda expecting them to lose another coming off their first regulation loss.

They lack putting the puck in the net. They do not have that big body screening the goalie anymore, ever since they got rid of Mike Knuble their goals per game has dropped, and I am not talking by 1-2 goals, I am talking like 2-3 goals per game. They have a bit of a goaltending problem. They lost Leighton for the first 8 weeks and now have to decide between the young 22 Russian or the Veteran Brian Boucher. The russian is 2-2 and Boucher is 0-2. Brian Boucher is starting against the Leafs....he will have his crowd behind him which makes him play better, he could easily blank out the Leafs, but on the other hand, he could go 0-3.....

I personally do not think anyone should bet this game at all. The Flyers are lacking goals, and until they fix that problem NO ONE should take them on the moneyline at -130 or higher.

If I had a gun to my head, this is a UNDER 5.5 bet rather then a Flyers -156

Thanks. The lack of scoring is definitely worrisome. I like them in this spot a lot, just wanted to see what you thought being a Flyers fan.

I am a fan of the game anymore, they have let me down time and time again. Stupid trades, stupid signings, stupid moves all around anymore.

They go and sign Jody Shelley, and the guy fights what, once a game if that...and thats it..you never see him again. He is not out there intimidating, not out there scaring the other team....so why have him? They were better off letting Carcillo do that job, which he is good at and using that money that went towards Shelly towards maybe another winger or a goalie of some sort....

Can you believe the reason they got Shelley was because his only two goals last season were scored on the Flyers. This came from the GM's mouth, they did not want to have to worry about him scoring on them...REALLY? HIM?..geeze mine as well sign Gaborik at that point, and Drury and Prospal, and Fedotenko, and Anisimov....

And here is a guy Jeff Carter, straight up lazy fukk who does nothing but fukk local girls...They were better off keeping RJ Umberger, at least he played great in the playoffs..I always said that was a stupid move letting go of Umberger and keeping Carter...

Mike Richards, love the dude, great player...but he has no personality, he is never to be found on post game interviews, and when you do find him he says a few words and thats it...Clearly Briere is the man to go to when in doubt, he should be the Captain of this team.

Then you got Pronger, a guy who runs his mouth all playoffs and in the end has to eat every word of it cause he put bad karma on his team...he does it every year in the playoffs and I hate it, never like this guy always hated him for this reason and now he is here in Philly doing it

I could go on for hours but, bottom line, DO NOT bet them until they show they can start scoring, and scoring I mean, by more then just Calude Giroux and Danny Briere

DIPietro vs Vokoun, two very good goalies.

Vokoun had b2b shutouts but then allowed a few with 18 shots against, he will rebound he is an absolute awesome goaltender and what better team then the islanders to bounce back against. The last two matchups between these two have been nail biters, avergaing just 3 goals total.

So I took the 5 and at worse I get a push, but can easily be a 3-1 Bruins win, or vice versa

This one was 3-2 in the 2nd period and did not look too good. So the fact that it was a push for me, I will take it.

If I do not hit these two games, Im pretty sure I am taking the rest of the month off from hockey until things settle down in the NHL. I have never started off like this, still up a little money but not much, not like last season or previous ones before that. I was busy all weekend with my ncaaf and nfl picks. Did pretty good, but now it is time I turn it up in the NHL.
