CBJ Over 3 (-110) BetPhoenix $110 to win $100
With the Oilers giving up heaps of goals lately I think the Jackets can get at least 3 tonight. The Oilers are averaging 4.8 goals against over their last 5 games and the Jackets averaged 3.3 against them in their meetings last year. With Dubynk confirmed for the Oilers he should be a bit rusty tonight as well.

-I liked this line initially but with Osgood confirmed in for Detroit I just can't pass on it. Phoenix has lost 3 straight and the Wings have won 3 straight so we are due for a market correction tonight. The Coyotes played Detroit tough in last year's playoffs at Joe Louis so they know how to win there.

COL (+135) Bookmaker $100 to win $135
-Another market correction type game I think the Avs take. Colorado comes in having lost 3 straight and the Flames have won 3 straight. The Flames are overachieving in my opinion and Colorado has a great young team. With both backups in tonight the Avs are definitely worth a shot.

COL/CAL Over 1.5 (1st) (-110) Pinnacle $220 to win $200 <P.O.D.>
-The Flames have finally found their offensive groove again and the Avs have been a major over machine this year so far with a 7-2 record for the over. The Flames are the 2nd highest scoring first period team and the Avs 11th respectively. With neither Kipper or Anderson in goal in this one I definitely think these two rivals can pop in a couple first period goals.


That is 95% all I am playing today unless something catches my eye at the last minute.

Thanks. Phoenix is far from a sure thing but the way I see it if I hit either Phoenix or Colorado I make money and I think at least one of them wins tonight.

Would it not be just as safe or maybe safer to play the entire game over in this case?

Do you know Budaj is starting for COL? I love the over in the 1st period, but I don't think that COL will win, considering they played yesterday as well.

Yup they are. Probably safer to play the whole game over but that's just not how I roll. I find usually back ups struggle a bit early and then settle down in the 2nd and 3rd periods so I like the 1st period over better.

Yup I do. I'm not too concerned about Budaj he did fine against the Nucks and has a lot of NHL experience. Karlsson is in for the Flames and he has one career start under his belt.

Avs didn't play yesterday, it was the day before in Vancouver. I felt like they were unlucky to lose, they played really well.
