Sick beat man That's what sucks in blowout games, both teams usually give up trying to score. The team with the lead will just chill out and let up pretty much and the team getting smashed just tries not to give up anymore.

I think they definitely get 3 and there's a very good chance they get 4 as well. If it doesn't work out then you save a ton of chalk

What do you think of the BOS game? Do you think boston can take this one with crosby out and malkin questionable with an illness? even with rask in net? What scares me is that boston is not nearly as dominant as they were earlier in the season. It seems like they have been just squeeking victories out lately.

Any time Crosby is out a solid team like Boston always has a good shot of pulling the mild upset. I think Boston has a good chance tonight.

I've been watching BOS and they look a step behind this season, especially Chara. Savard's return hasn't really done much in terms of reinvigorating that offense, if anything, it looks more muddled than before.

Yeah Savard used to really be the B's only scorer but he doesn't seem as dominant this year. The Pens are a totally different team without Crosby though. Just look at last game shut out on home ice vs the Wild

I don't follow college football whatsoever The total is 72 that's insane. Seems like Oregon is the play from what I've read though. What did you bet?

I teased Auburn and the under. I have Auburn +5 and under 78 for a very small bet. I like the SEC over Pac 10 almost everytime. I dont know all that much about these two thats why i didnt risk a lot. I more so just want some action to make it more exciting.

I was reading a good article that stated:

As you can see, high scoring offenses are no strangers to National Championship games. In fact, six of the 14 teams to compete for a championship since 2003 averaged at least 40 points per game. But only once, in 2004 when USC trounced Oklahoma, did the teams overshoot their combined season average. And only in USC's two games did the teams score more than 74 points. The average game undershot its participants' combined scoring average by 27 percent. If that happens here, Oregon and Auburn will combine for 67 points and rest safely under the total.

Defense is often overlooked in championship games because most of the household names play on the offensive side of the ball. But if the defenses weren't competent, the teams probably would not be undefeated and playing for the championship in the first place. LaMichael James might not find holes so easily against the 6th best rushing defense among major conference teams. And Cam Newton better be careful when he drops back, Oregon intercepts more passes than all but three teams in the nation.

Combine those underrated defenses with the long layoff between games – it's been 37 days since either team last played – and the recipe for a lower-scoring game is in place. It's also worth keeping in mind that many coaches get conservative in big games, wary of having critical decisions questioned on a national stage.

I might be wrong on this one so thats why i went small. I will also attempt to place some live bets to hedge. Either way it will be exciting.

No doubt I really liked the game total too but get in trouble when I load up on one game. I figured DET Over 2.5 was the safest play. My bad for not doing the over 5.5 (1st) too
