after the placed the 1st parlay with the russians needing to win for me to cash it i wondered wtf i had become.....the cecil who grew up fearing the ruskies, loved red dawn (wolverines!) and always thought the ar-15 was a better straight shooter than the kalashnikov would NEVER-EVER bet on the reds. well, the russians won and i cashed a small ticket but ill be damned if red dawn wasnt on some chit channel as i drifted off to sleep that night.....oh the irony!
and here i sit again putting a lil more on the ivans
thats funny man. i guess we can all be friends after all as long as the money is right. LOL. i feel the same way, i live in the states now but used to dislike all American stuff back in the day. we had a bunch of movies like Red Dawn, just with the opposite storyline. big bad americans coming to russia and trying to take over and russians fighting back with homemade weapons and such, LOL. funny how propoganda is really the same everywhere, all you gotta do is flip the side.
as for AK, i dont agree with you. i think pound for pound it was the best assault rifle ever built. it may not be as accurate as some american rifles but it costs only 20% of the price to build and is much simpler to maintain. i am no expert, but i heard that an M-16 has something like 2000 parts while AK only had 500 or something. dont call me on that tho.LOLComment -

as an owner of both an ar-15 and a few semi automatic ak's(machine stamped romanian models) i can tell you the ak is a much easier weapon to maintain. costs more to produce an AR but you definetly get what you pay for. AK is a spray and pray weapon while the AR is a tack driver with field sights at 100m. the AK varient that i really like is the 5.45x39 (AK74) which gave the russians a smaller, more accurate bullet while still keeping the ak47 mechanics with a lot less recoil. funnier still, armies always want what the others got, hence the AR's in .308 for more "knock down power" as some think the .223 is not enough and the Kalashnikovs in 5.45 trying to get closer to the more accurate american 5.56mm nato(.223)
Both have their +'s and -'s. much like the countries that produce them
you know what a makarov is? now there is a beautiful piece of machinery there my friend. i use one(russian made) for my carry piece and the other 4 are total safe queens. east german/bulgarian/chinese/russian...oh how i love them so.

that is intersting. i am definately not a gun expert but i definately agree that AK doesnt have as much accuracy as AR. it was built to be mass produced to arm countless soldiers slated to be cannon fodder.
americans always had a different approach to war. soldiers were always valued and given the best equipment no matter the cost.
i know makarov, all of russian police and military officers use it. i am surprised you are such a fan. i heard that makarov's are too heavy and jam too much.
i only own one weapon, a SIG 9mm P226.

AK sucks for accuracy in Modern Warfare 2. My favorite gun is the Scar. Slow fire rate but good accuracy. I'm assuming these are fairly accurate representations of the guns. I haven't fired a real gun though so this is all I have to go by

Been reading the forum for over a year - almost everyday when the NHL season is on. I just want to thank you all for all your tips & toughts. Being from Quebec, I grew up with hockey, but I learned a lot from you.
Without your tips, I wouldn't have taken Norway at +5.5. After a lot of thoughts, I thought you were right on. I was all-in on that and I won a lot.
But today, not a good day for me. Olympics, day one, I had 250$ when the Olympics started. Won my first five bets - 250$ to 1300$. Today, I bet on Women USA by 7 goals, felt REALLY confident about that one, but lost 400$... one goal short. Then, I bet another 300$ on canada -4.5 on BetFair.com. Lost it too... So, right now... I'm all in on Russia. Half is on -2.5 (at 2.00), the other half, on Russia Regular time (1.40)...
So, if -2.5 is covered, I'm back on track. If not, DAMN! Btw, I'm not the kind of guy who goes all-in usually, but I wanted to invest 250$ in the Olympics. I guess it started too well and I was over-confident... it went too well.
GO CANADA AND... (for today)... GO RUSSIA!
