The oilers are not good at all this year! Honestly the only write up I need. Winning 2 of 3 on their current homestand may sound impressive but one coming against the slumping Islanders isnt exactly impressive. They smashed the Hawks 5-2 a few days ago, but I can only assume it was Chicago that handed them the win by not playing their A game against the worst NHL team. Florida on the other hand continues their 6 game road trip while taking 3 of 4 thus far. Luongo should get the call tonight and is 7-3 in his last 10 vs Edmonton. Scrivens is 3-0 career against the Panthers, however all 3 coming with LAK and TOR. This will be the first time Scrivens faces FLA in an Oilers sweater. In their last 10 starts, Luongo holds a 7-2-1 record with .930 Sv%. Scrivens is 3-3-4 and .907%. Viktor Fasth has been even worse in his last 10. Im going with the better goaltendter at a cheap price in this one.

This probably goes against any kind of handicapping skill but I have a hunch. Coach Yeo knows he has a talented team in front of him and losing 4 in a row is unacceptable for this squad. Wild rifled off 44 shots against Crawford and the hawks in a 4-2 loss just 3 days ago. Getting the production like that eventually leads to goals. Hawks heavily relied on Crawford. The last time Hawks were favored over -200 against Minny was in the playoffs last May where Chicago squeaked one out 2-1. The wild are 7-2 in the last 9 of 3 games in 4 night situation. I can see the Wild coming out hard to protect their underperforming goaltending in this one. Worth a shot on the +1 at a nice +127 price.

What a terrible hunch lol. I happend to watch this Hawks/wild game, and this wild team is pathetic at the moment. I couldnt even watch the 3rd period. Probably a good idea to wait on this team until they string a couple W's together. Ouch!!

I made this play before looking at goalies confirmed. Not really sure why Bishop is not starting. None the less the play is booked. Bolts are on a 3 game winning streak and I dont see it ending tonight (barring a Nabokov meltdown). With Mason going down and Flyers starting Zepp, it did boost some confidence in this play even with Nabokov starting. Zepp was victorious in his debut against Winnipeg but still allowed 3 goals and finished with a .890 SV%. Tampa has played extremely well against Philly taking the last 6 games and 13 of the last 16. Not liking the -140 juice on the road so Im playing the -1 line tonight. Looking for Stamkos and Johnson to embarrass Zepp on home ice early.
TOR 2/3.24
Kings have lost 5 of their last 6 games. Adding to the slump, they will be without Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson in this matchup. They are currently winless on a long 7 game homestand (0-1-2) with Quick not showing his home ice dominance. Jones looks to get the start tonight. Im relying on Bernier to cover the crease on the opposing end as the Leafs look to extend their 3 game winning streak at Staples. They edged the Kings 4-3 a month ago on home ice. Phil Kessel has been having trouble finding the back of the net lately, but im looking for him and his team leading 43 pts to have a breakout game tonight.

GL man!
I locked in TB ML at -137 this a.m...not as confident without Bishop, but still a good line for a decent road team who has dominated Philly the last few seasons.
No way can I play Kings ML, so this is a nice value play with Toronto, though I never seem to get that team right.
Other play I have is Avs TT (U 2.5) -120...Holtby has been playing great lately...Avs not a scoring machine on the road.

Well, you didn't know Price would be given a night off, right?
I had Blues -1 as well...I am 0-2 betting on them this season...try to get them while they're hot, but I wait until the game the streak is snapped...took them at +1 @ LAK about a month ago when they blew that 3 or 4 goal lead...they had a 5-game win streak up until that disaster.

I like Tokarski. Pretty solid backup this year. I expected alot closer game. As for my Blues, I HATE ELLIOTT. I hated the trade that sent Halak for Miller. Halak should of been our goalie until Allen was ready to take over #1. Elliott may have good numbers this year and career, but he is not a #1. If you saw last nights game, they only allowed 3 total shots through half the game. What goalie wouldnt love that? The first and third goals were both soft. This was his loss, not the players. He has done this many times in some of his victories too. Just lets in too many soft goals. He wont do any better than Miller come playoff time. Mrazek shut the door with a stellar performance. Needed 2 sick deflections just to get the puck past him. But oh well. We move on.

Pretty bold with Preds ML...I have Caps +1 at -141...now it's at -175.
Maybe I will put a small play on Nashville ML...they still have good players besides their star goalie.
I like the Under 5.5 a lot too and will be making a play on that too...somebody wins 3-2 I think.
What's all the love for Canucks tonight? Well, GL with it. I think Islanders win a close one.

Good teams find a way to win...wish my Caps +1 bet would have come through, but if Preds keep winning onto a division title I will be happy with my 4 unit futures bet for +1300 for Preds to win the West...not sure if you follow nba (I don't much), but I put in a futures bet for Atlanta to win the East for +2200 and now they are +425.
Nice night bud!

That they do! Hey at least you got the push on Caps game better than losing the juice. Not a big NBA fan. Being from St. Louis it's hard to cheer for any NBA team and get excited about the sport. If we ever bring a team back, I'm sure I will follow it pretty well. Good luck with your futures Rollin. Great juice on Atlanta for you. Hope you cash!

Sens getting Chris Neil back in the lineup tonight to shore up some D. Anderson is 8-2 in his last 10 vs New York IN New York. Lundquist is 2-8 in his last 10 at home vs OTT. Ottawa is 8-2 in their last 10 in New York. Public is still pounding Rangers. Ive seen between 65-70% all day and line continues to drop. At +158, I like the value on Sens tonight. Could just be Sharps moving the line down and they will pound the Rangers near gametime. So we will see

Any tips or observations for betting the week after the break?
Last season was my 1st and believe I took a couple weeks off after the break before continuing to the end of season.
