2013 NHL Picks

Hey guys, here's what I've done so far 1U each:

DAL ML +145 - I'm thinking that Rinne and the team is starting to wear down a bit as demonstrated by Saturday's loss to DET. Good time to get big value on DAL.
EDM ML +160 - I might be throwing money away here but Edm is a young club with the ability to pour it on. As someone else noticed CHI only managed to put up 1 goal against CLB. Taking a shot!
ANA ML +125 - Just as Cotes predicted the line has dropped on ANA significantly. I rode the LAK mini-streak last weak but I think ANA is good value against a division rival.

I'm just not sure about these other games and one lesson I learned last week was that betting the board every night is a losing proposition. Ottawa has been awesome at home this season even all banged up, is this a trend that will continue or will a dominant Mtl team be the one to break it.
TOR is a decent dog value tonight and have been great on the road but the question is which Philly team will show up?

Bishop is starting for OTT tonight, can he carry the great play of C.Anderson? Philly hasn't been great this year but they have been winning at home. Between the 2 I think I like Mtl chances better even laying some juice.

I find a large range of emotions happen during a betting day, I'm a very un-emotional pragmatic type so it's quite the difference in how I operate, this is my only vice I'm very disciplined/regimented in almost every other way. It makes every minute of the night interesting for sure, the only downside is it tends to distract while doing other things (which can drive the GF nuts when I keep checking scores or trying to beat system with a quick live bet lol).

I appreciate the info and the effort. Some of those stats can certainly be useful however I tend to disregard extended trends that go back to last year or even further. Take Mtl road record which was listed at 4-9 or something like that yet this year they have been awesome on the road going 4-1-1 and I expect that current trend to continue.

After considering the Mtl/Ott matchup I put down a 2U bet on Mtl ML mainly because I expect to see a break in some trends. OTT home record 8-1-2 seems inflated to me and their 4 game win streak seems about due to come to an end. I don't see this Ott team 9-1-2@home after winning 5 in a row. Generally speaking it seems most NHL streaks top out at 3-4 before the team gets a W or L. Mtl could be a cup contender this year and will bring a strong game tonight.

I completely agree, why after the stats I said:

"So best play of course is the Under followed by Ottawa Under 2.5 Goals then Montreal to end Ottawa's lopsided winning streak in the ML."

Well guys, had to go to jury duty this morning, thought i'd be off by noon and have the rest of the day off. was gonna do lots of research for tonight since I missed the whole weekend but guess who got selected to be on the damn jury. Just my luck, first time to ever get called to jury duty and I get selected. Needless to say got zero research done and will just be watching tonight.

Haha actually thats how it is. In the morning If I see scores I like I might have little bit more smile on my face for a while But If I loose. I cant say I´m not pissed, but I can live with it. Motions cool down.

This is the only way do it because the games starts between 2am-5am local time so there is no chance to watch the games and still be able to function during the work and school day..

Before I went to sleep, I did parlay too and now it´s up to Anaheim if I win..

Chicago PL was a little greedy, but Toronto did a nice job. The profit today depends about Anaheims win and the parlay I did.
