There was a delayed penalty coming up to the Devils so the Canes pull the goalie obviously. Brodeur makes a saves and the puck is steered to the corner. CAR guy whips it around the boards intending it to go to his D man. No one is there and it bounces off the boards and all the way into the empty net

Brodeur was the last to touch the puck so he gets credit for the goal

they outscored vancouver on the powerplay in finals. They were awful all playoffs before that though like 1/27 before the finals started.
