nice bet. Philadelphia's defense is terrible (25th). they give up so many goals. Philly has been a great over team for years. Mediocre goaltending too.

Philly and Bryzgalov had to be rattled after choking away a 4-1 lead last game.

They have bryzgalov signed through 2020. lol. How long has terrible goaltending plagued philly?

Philly has been a 1st period over cash cow this year, especially lately.

They are 2nd in 1st period goals for and 2nd in 1st period goals against

Of course bruins going to stomp on philly. Philly plays no defense. Goalie plays no-saving. Bruins are the best team in the East.

Philly has been an over team for years. High powered offense, great powerplay, no goaltending. That's like an over betters wet dream. lol

What do they just go to him in the summer and say, "we'll pay you 25% of your contract in cash right now if you get the fcuk off our team and never return"? Is buyout pre-negotiated in contract or do they have to get together and agree on price?

Usually a clause in the contract, sometimes the last year is a buyout year. Can go both ways (player or team).

don't want to blame bryzgalov entirely though. all 3 goals were bruins players wide open in slot, nobody on philly covering them... get pass, wide open shot point blank. i agree with comentators intermission comments. Defensive breakdowns. Leaving guys wide open right at point blank spots right in front of net. philly's defense is terrible. bryzgalov is a bum but its compounded by philly's awful defense

Shawn Thornton got his elbow free and just punched that dude's face in down to the ice. As soon as i saw the hit, i said in my head, "Send Thornton after him!" Then Thornton skates over, asks him, was able to finally get the right grip and get his elbow pad free, then threw uppercuts and then punched that dude's face to the ice. HELL YEAH! Shawn Thornton 2-0 in fights after losing to scott. I wanted Thornton to engage as soon as i saw the hit. So happy he did it, and punched that dude's face into oblivion. Lucic, McQuaid, Chara are among toughest fighters in NHL too.

Yea! Good call playing specifically the 1st period total. Woulda been toast if you bet any of the other possible overs (2nd, 3rd, Game, TT's, 1st 10min). you bet the one single over that won.

The overs combined went 1-5-1 (if bos tt was 3). Great call on the 1st period angle. Unders went 5-1, but you had the one period it went over! Nice! I never bet 1st period lines bc i have no experience doing it and really know nothing about how to differentiate which periods to bet totals in or how the probability distributions vary across 1st, 2nd, 3rd periods. Does 1st period have more goals statistically in long run than 2nd and 3rd? Is this probability not reflected in the odds? As someone with some statistical experience, i am interested in analyzing some data on records of 1st period overs verus 2nd, 3rd period, game. Good call on the 1st period line though.

when you play the under on the game you just gotta ride the clock out. That's what i was saying last night. No matter if goals scored early, you're never guaranteed more goals. Your bet is a winning ticket until that 6th goal is scored. You're never down and out until your chips are all gone. And they aint all gone until after that 6th goal is in the back of the net.
