if SJ's penalty kill wasn't freaking terrible, they'd be a top 5 team. It's the same story every year. Their penalty kill is fuking terrible! Cost them playoff series' they could have won the last couple years. It's really that bad. Even so far this season, they've given up 3 pp goals in 2 games. They don't pressure puck at all they just stand in shooting lanes. When teams move puck its so easy to score on them. How the hell can their penalty kill be THAT BAD and the coach doesn't do anything over the course of a few years to fix it? Their penalty kill is TERRIBLE!

This may finally be their year. Usually goaltending and their PK kill them in the playoffs you're right. Yup I can't stand passive PK's. The key to killing penalties successful is definitely constantly applying pressure. When you have all day out there to make passes it's not gonna end well most of the time.
