Congrats on the $30K from 2008. But I have a family friend who is the VP of Marketing for the Wings and he said (back when the lockout just started) that this doesn't look like it will be that promising of a year. We are one of the teams that the lockout hurt the most since we lost more players than many other star contenders

1-2 -$189 on the night. 3rd straight losing night to open the season unfortunately

Seems like I've had a lot of bad luck, particularly with 1st period overs to open the year but it is what it is. May try to lay off 1st period bets or at least stick to 1 unit bets for a bit until we get some more stats on the board and some trends start to emerge. I am a notorious slow starter though so I'm not too worried

Wings are getting old and not a lot of top notch prospects on the horizon that I am aware of at least. Will be weird when they finally go through a rebuilding stage. Datysuk, Franzen and Zetterberg should be able to keep the team competitive until some reinforcements arrive

I like Dat's, Big Z, & The Mule, but was never a fan of Howard. I would be happy for them if they started a rebuild. Sooner or later, everyone has to do it & they have been on a declining slope.

first time I've been on your thread this season, I'm sorry for your misfortune thus far, but it is gambling its bound to turn around!... PS what do you think of the STL/CHI over 5.5 ... Washington 3W and detroit ML today? I also like LA ML and the sharkies ML

I feel as if Hockey is hard to do spreads and the O/U. Odds if you go on the under there will be an empty netter that ruins you. New to betting but I am just gonna be following this for a week

STL/CHI over looks pretty solid. Like Washington to win in regulation. They have the only 3.5 TT on Pinny so this is usually a good sign. I like LA to bounce back today in Colorado. Unsure about the Sharks/Oilers.

the empty netter is the most hated and loved tool for NHL totals betters...

Very true statement

That's mainly why I hate betting unders because almost every time it's crushed by an empty netter. One of the worst feelings in gambling. Your heart just drops to your nutsack seeing that puck go in

Last week I lost a $5 parlay that would have paid out $55 in profit...but Butler won on a buzzer beater

And yesterday I would have won $40 in profit on a $5 parlay...but Memphis Grizzlies hit a buzzer beater BUT it was after the buzzer hit

I love the picks...BUT the problem is that I think 1 in 10 of us actually have the same book as you. Nearly all of us aren't lucky enough to do the O/U at 0.5 goals in 1st period

Exotic total shit is at BWIN and BET365. Didn't realize how much worse bwins odds were than bet365 so I will be shipping some funds there for these over 4.5 parlays etc.

Yeah I know a lot of you can't bet these but these are the plays I'm betting so if you can't bet them tough titty just play the ones you can or pass altogether.

It's your money spend it wisely. It's not like I'm Nostradamus I don't win every bet so missing a few isn't gonna be the end of the world.

By the time it's all said and done the majority of my bets will be on "normal" lines. It's early on though so I'm trying different betting angles.
