Draft will be on Sunday, March 26th at 7:30pm EST (6:30 CST/5:30 MST/4:30 PST)

No pick ups for teams who aren't in the main playoffs. Yeah, pretty much the same as last year.

12 teams. Regular season will be Weeks 1-20, with the playoffs being the top 4 teams by record and each playoff round being 2 weeks. Will end a week short of the regular season so the finals aren't impacted by pitchers resting to prepare for the playoffs.

Payouts will be 50 to the top scorer each week, then playoff payouts:

4th - 500

Starts (by P's) is still 12 per week. If a team exceeds the starts then I will remove the players that exceeded it from the lineup so they aren't counted. If someone goes a few over in one day I'll remove the HIGHEST scorers until it's back down to the stated maximum for the period.

So if someone is at 11 on Saturday then starts 4 on Sunday, they score 20, 15, 6, -3. I would remove the 20, 15, and 6 point scorers and keep the -3 as the 12th start. That'll prevent what we ran into last year where people were going 6 SP's deep on Sunday because they were down.

what are we going to do for Game Starts for the week? not sure what ESPN has for options. what i've seen in other leagues is a GS limit AND a limit of transactions to 7 per week.

Only differences in scoring are: adding 2 for holds (so teams that only have a closer or two aren't at such an extreme disadvantage), SB is worth 2 instead of 1, a loss is -3 instead of -5, and now if a pitcher hits a batter it's -1 instead of 0 from last year.

Also added a bench spot to make it 26 players per roster+2 DL. Did this so there are an even number of rounds, so the snake draft completes 13 times instead of giving the higher pickers an extra round advantage.

As for a transaction limit, I'm indifferent on it. Severely limiting transactions can help not-so-active people out by limiting those who are on top of things to a few pick ups a week. However, with the hard cap on 12 starters per week, I don't see too much going on in terms of pick ups to where we need a limit.


That about covers everything that's different, aside from the removal of a regular season week to prevent players resting for the MLB playoffs determining our own finals and the fact that waivers will be locked for all non-prize playoff teams (so the consolation bracket waiver wire pick ups don't decide the playoffs, like last year)

Draft wise I was thinking Sunday, March 26th at 7:30pm EST. The football leagues I've ran on here always seem to prefer their drafts on Sunday around that time, so figure that works best. Also gives us over a month to find 10 others (though unde, chico, and sharkbite are probably for sure, maybe stealthy again if he isn't too busy). Also PM'd shari asking about getting SBR to possibly add something to the prize pool, not holding my breath but she said she'd forward it to John.

I figured as much. They actually have baseball leagues that you only update your lineup once a week but the only year I did that EVERYONE hated it. If you're interested in fantasy baseball but don't want to do daily updates you may want to look into a Diamond Mind Baseball league instead.

Pretty sure he tried to get in some of my squares pools too. Also seen him trying to enter other fantasy leagues and different contests. Always gets told he can't participate as a non-pro, others tell him to go pro, then he just disappears. Only time I see him post is when he's trying to enter things he can't.

Also, assuming Empire may join or he wouldn't have asked about points for a strikeout. May be able to goad unde into joining if I just give him shit for losing to me in the finals of the football league.
