it probably makes me like the Ducks TT a little better than the game over, but not a major difference. i had expected some rain initially when i capped the game, and it should accentuate the Ducks' quickness advantage.. i'd be much more concerned with significant wind than rain.Originally posted by baneComment -

senior night is weird. i've heard some guys say that they view it as a positive factor and other guys say that it's a negative (someone did so earlier this week with respect to Northern Illinois, and he was right that Toledo covered; of course, that doesn't speak to causation). for a disciplined team like Air Force, i'd think that it's either neutral or positive. i like betting games with service academies because you can generally rely upon a consistent predictable performance. i'm guessing that AF on senior night will be very similar to AF in most other home games.Originally posted by bane
the key with weather, in my mind, is how the game plan changes. if this game were in Palo Alto on grass, i'd be concerned about the rain. in Eugene, on turf, my guess would be that Oregon will try to use their speed and the wet conditions to their advantage early - lots of read option, misdirection, play action (kinds of plays that get bigger slower Stanford heading one direction then having to make quick change of direction on wet turf). on Stanford's side, defensively, i'm guessing that they've heard the verb "contain" about 1,000 in meeting rooms this week. containing OU's offense in these conditions will be even more difficult for Stanford, i believe. on the other side, i'd imagine that the weather will lead to a conservative ground attack to control the clock from Stanford - so no change from if the weather was normal. the key is how quickly Oregon starts. in the end, one of the most important factors for my over plays will be the coin-toss. if UO gets the ball first and gets off quickly, Stanford won't be able to bleed clock for long.

yo biff, good luck this weekend, nice looking card, although I disagree a bit on clemson team/game total/ think clemson struggles to put up points in this batttle, this'll be the most difficult defense they have to face...last year boyd struggled too with them, All I got on that one is NC state +17, so hopefully we both hit, with you on kstate, the amount this team has been undervalued by the books this season is really a
to me.....intrested in seeing how this kain colter does against mich st., I am really liking mich st. more and more I watch them, more likea tru offense than most of the B1G, but colter also looked very good what I watched from him against mich, but that was mich defense....so....lets see how he holds up against a real defense, hes def tough and very athletic QB,

what's up smut. yeah, hopefully we both hit on Clemson game. for what it's worth, i think that NC State will get theirs on Clemson, which is why i like over. good buddy of mine played hoops at Clemson and is a huge fan. we've been talking about this one, it's one Clemson had circled on their calendars after last year. i think Clemson will move the ball but we will see. Sparty hasn't beaten up on anyone. you can either view it as the books "sending a message" with the line or think it's NU being undervalued because they've notably choked away so many games this season. i think it's the latter. my numbers have NU as better team than MSU, primarily because Sparty's offense has been atrocious. i think MSU probably wins by a FG, but i like NU at +7. hey, Rick, what's up, pal? i think that OSU/UW side is one of the most unplayable sides this week. play on that game is over but i'm just gonna watch and enjoy. Bielema and UFM despise each other, and either one will prick it up it given the opportunity. if either team gets consecutive turnovers, i think the other team takes the game. this game is as fragile as an egg. i think that Badgers win by a TD, something like 34-27, but honestly, either team could win 40-20. in my pools, i took Wisky side, but man i will not be rooting that way.Originally posted by Rick22

what's up, bane? well, the play is based upon the belief that Haden is not well, and that given that it's oblique injury, even if he plays, he will less than 100% and could tweak it and be out at any time. i don't think they'll play him. Browns are short-handed in defensive backfield as it is, so i think they'll sit injured Haden rather than play him at less than 100% and risk losing even more depth at any time with a re-injury (because keeping Haden active means one less reserve DB). so, even if Haden plays, i like it, but the Browns fan inside me feels pretty good that he sits.Originally posted by baneComment
