Do I really need to spend time and read details. You are in here defending garbage. Do you have stock in Penn State or something? Bottom line Paterno and anyone else involved the the Athletics Dept at Penn State stood by and allowed some abuse to go down. No details needed. Here is a great idea. If one day you ever have a kid (might not be for a while because you actually have to meet a woman that will have sex with you) go ahead and send them to Penn State. The first is that the press will be told beforehand that all questions must be geared toward the Nebraska game and that Joe Pa will not comment on the Sandusky situation. The second option is that Joe Pa lets some things slip, but it will be the "aw shucks, I'm an old guy and didn't know anything" excuse. Either way, I expect the press conference itself to be a disappointment. If I were the university general counsel, there is no way I would allow Joe Pa to discuss this matter at all tomorrow. That would not be smart and the law firms Penn State hired for this matter are not dumb guys.

All of the Sandusky rapes that occured after this date can be directly attributed to grossly negligent conduct by Penn State staff in allowing him to remain on campus after the police department investigation which led to Sandusky's retirement.

That is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen and Penn State is going to have to pay big time dollars.

Come on guys, think about it. Why would a coach with seemingly plenty of years left all of a sudden retire. He was outed and his career was over. I can't believe Penn State was so stupid and allowed him to creep around campus. That timeline says it all. Penn State's administration is both culpable and liable here. That's what I said in my previous post. Sandusky had full access to PSU facilities since 1999. Paterno knows if someone walks the wrong way let alone commit heinous acts. Its inconceivable to me that Paterno had no knowledge. When the AD and President fold, it will not be pretty. Also what pisses me off is the grandiose attitude PSU alums have about their school. PSU didn't rise to prominence because of superior academics; It rose because Paterno grew PSU into a national powerhouse and money making machine.

You have a point...but I don't think you're so far gone when someone tells you your former D Coordinator is doing something "inappropriate" in the shower with a 10 year-old that you don't go to the police and tell the AD after the fact. Just like in the military...when you're the Commander, you're responsible for your people/building, and if something goes down you're the first person who gets it.
