With the information that's out there now, you'd be more of a candidate than Urban Meyer. He wouldn't want anything to do with this job in its current form.

As a start up coach I would take this in a heart beat... don't be surprised though... let's let all the cards be dealt out first... i think urban or schiano are most likely if paterno leaves... leach is too contraversal... they need to go with someone proven yet looking to prove more, but that stand face in advertisty... greg schiano fits

Don't cover for Paterno's sorry a$$ in this tragedy! Its not like this was a one time incident either....they have reports on Sandusky going back to 1994. Paterno just looked away like everyone else.

I'd disagree about Schiano. He coached as a DB coach for Sandusky in the 90's and if he went back to PSU then the cloud would hang over the program since he was there during the troubled times.

Also...zero chance he didn't know about something back then. Let's not give any of these college coaches too much credit. They're almost all scumbags looking to get ahead and get paid. If anyone thought it would cost them their career to do the right thing then they won't say shit.

A person familiar with Sandusky's relationship with Penn State told The Associated Press that the former coach long maintained an office in the East Area Locker building which is across the street from the Penn State football team's building, and was on campus as recently as a week ago working out.

Everyone makes JoePa to be the bad guy here. He certainly is culpable, but he is just a little pawn in the story. He did what was legally required of him to do. He broke no laws. The people who should be put in jail for the rest of their lives are the Penn State A.D. and Vice President. They had a responsibility to protect these kids. They intentionally lied to a Grand Jury. What about the police? Are you telling me that it took them all this time to attempt to bring charges against this scum bag? Do you really believe that the Police are not somehow involved in this cover up? You are talking about a small town with a squeaky clean reputation. This reeks of a Police cover up. JoePa will go.
