Bowl Game Preview -System Picks

I'm gonna use this week to see how the method plays out as a preview of this years Bowl games.
This week is a hard week to judge the method I'm gonna use because it's the last regular season games and there will be teams playing for their lives and others who just show up and be done with this season. I just want to see how this goes in general, not taking anything else into account, just numbers.

The picks will be divided into groups with last years results for each group.

I know no one, who bets real money wants to just follow or fade blindly, so here's a little info on the method of making the picks.
SYSTEM METHOD:
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Picks are the team with the higher ranking in TOTAL DEFENSE
Definiton of TOTAL DEFENSE
Opponent Total Yards Per Play (Yards per Attempt adjusted for strength of opposition)
Criteria to be a 4-0 pick
1- Higher ranked in Total Defense
2-Higher ranked in Offense Scoring Points per game (adjusted for strength of opponent)
3-Higher ranked in Defense Scoring Points allowed per game ( adjusted for strength of opponent)
4-?

EXAMPLE: Using the OHIO ST/MICH game on Saturday

I will be posting the games by groups, with the results from last years Bowl Games, using the same method. Also, I will list the TOTAL DEFENSE RANK in the (XXX). Ohio St is #1/2.21 (Opponent Total Yards Per Play (Yards per Attempt adjusted for strength of opposition). The opposite end of the spectrum sits Air Force, 136/5.89.

You have a safe and joyful holiday. Hate to put more on your plate but do you have any numbers on the Army/Navy game. Leaning Army mostly think Army has the better defense and also there’s a trend that says to take the dog when they play Mahalo in advance (MIA)

Look under SRS, that's #4.

SRS -Simple Rating System
A rating that takes into account average point differential and strength of schedule.
The rating is denominated in points above/below average, where zero is average.

After all the regular season games were played, Ohio St is #1 at 23.73 and Mass sits at #136, with a rating of -26.27.

Thanks, but I expected better results.

I think the Transfer Portal has made a difference in college sports this year. When I backtested last years games, there was no Transfer Portal. Big difference in the W/L results this year compared to last year.

I still think Ohio St wins it all. We'll see.......
