Any input on tonight Tulsa/Tulane game? Tulsa has blown tulane out in the past so the -13.5 line seems a little low to me. Both teams should score well over that total also. What you think?

Excellent and thorough write-ups Pags. Really enjoy your comprehensive analysis; the high school recruiting was interesting. That will probably payoff in future seasons as well.

I have been reading and hearing a lot being made of the North Carolina program this year and Butch Davis' team being in their 4th year together. What's your take on NC this year?

pags, started following you the middle of last season. I'm going to tail your bets (and money management) this entire season. I'm also putting $100 parlay each week, so I'm hoping for 1 or 2 perfect weeks!

NFL, and NCAA BB are all me... but I know how hard I crash and burn in CFB, so this season.... I'm on your coat tailz pags.

thank you for the compliments...I think North Carolina has recruited extremely well and they will eventually contend with Va. Tech and Georgia Tech for the conference crown...just not sure if this is the year they do so...I really have issues with T.J. Yates, he's servicable, but I don' think he's the kind of QB that can lead them to a conference title...I also have concerns about them replacing three drafted WR's, although I have read they have a pretty talented recruit to fill one of the spots...they will be solid on D, that DT Marvin Austin is a beast!...GL tomorrow...

Can't agree with you more on LSU...Hate road chalk but this is going to be an easy cover by halftime...The only thing UW will be playing for this year is to not go 0fer again...and to beat out WSU for the title of cellar dweller...Thats the only competition there's going to be in the apple state this year.

Oregon Just didn't step up Pags11!! I Couldn't wait for this game to start after that NCST/USC game(Boring)!! Thought Oregon would be a great match up for the Boise St OF. To add a side bar to this comment/ NCST made us $$ at the end of last year, but apparently the have forgotten how to do that Hince the sloooow game. I also have 1 question. The guys in the strip shirts, What are they there for?
The guy in the strip shirt next to the fella who about lost his head in that HORSE COLLAR tackle blew it!!!!!

As usual, very nice job on the writeups Pags!!!

As you know, I wholeheartedly agree with your recruiting angle and your play with respect to Notre Dame.

Regardless of what anyone may think of Weis, the one thing he has done very well since his hire in late 2004 is recruit. In '05 he really only had one month to recruit so he was only able to cobble together a #40 ranked class. But since then he has put together class ranks of 8, 8, 2 & 21 respectively. That phenominal recruiting has allowed Weis to stockpile some impressive talent.

Furthermore, Weis bit the bullet 2 years ago and played many of his freshman. They're juniors now, and this will be their 3rd year playing together. I firmly believe this continuity & experience will pay big dividends for the Irish this year.

I also agree with your comments about Tyrod Taylor. I never cease to be amazed by people who want to dismiss Taylor's ability because he didn't tear up the college game straight out of high school. How many QBs have?

TT was not only one of the top QB recruits in the nation in 2007, but one of the top overall recruits. You can't deny his talent. The plan was to bring TT along slowly and redshirt him. Unfortunately, because of VT's QB woes, he was pressed into action before he was ready. Moreover, this has not been his team the last two years as he has shared duties with Sean Glennon.

Pretty much all QBs will have a learning curve coming straight out of high school, and Taylor is no different. This year, with the depature of Glennon, this is unquestionalbly Taylor's team for the first time. And given his experience, I firmly believe he will finally live up to his potential.

As you know, I strenuously disagree with the play, but I absolutely agree that Taylor will emerge as a superstar this year.

Concerning Cox...I know when I have the flu, I'll go to the clinic and most of the time be fine the next day. This guy has the best doctors in Georgia looking after him. Combine that with adrenaline rush he'll have during the game and he should be fine. Robinson's hamstring is of equal concern in my opinion.
