#1443This play comes with write-up
Sugar Bowl: 3* Oklahoma team total under 17.5 - 8:30 EST Thursday. Opponents have reached the red zone only 22 times this season against Bama (tops in the nation), and only A&M and Auburn have scored more than 17 points on the Tide. Nick Saban may not be perfect (see, e.g., the fourth quarter of the Auburn game), but he doesn't often make the same mistake twice, and after the embarassment in the 2008 Sugar Bowl vs Utah when Bama showed up unprepared and disinterested, it's difficult to imagine him allowing such a debacle to occur again in New Orleans for all the world to witness and jeer. More likely, he's spent the last month-plus since the Auburn loss lording over and punishing his players like media members who ask questions that don't interest him. Any Alabama player who doesn't treat this like the first game of a potential 2014 championship run isn't really thinking it through. The Oklahoma offense doesn't possess the weapons to threaten a prepared and interested Bama defense, and it will be ugly when they face one tonight. Projected Score: Tide, 34-10.Comment -

#1445Locking Oklahoma tt under in right now....was eyeing it all morning and then my mush buddy called it saying hes gonna bet the over in the game and then bifft total master puts a writeup agreeing with the pick too! the stars are aligning!!
on iowa....quite a finish....iowa did well defending them and as expected both teams played extremely conservatively, I just wish I had also taken the under

#1455any reason you decided against playing Bama ATS?Comment -

#1456Simply that I didn't want to split my play and I didn't want to go bigger than 3u on the game. I did consider going 2u on OU TT under and 2u on Bama -17, and they're certainly correlated, but playing multiple angles full-game doesn't seem to work very well for me. If i didn't have OU TT available at my shops, I'd play Bama -17 rather than game under, that's for sure. Bottom-line: I think that OU TT under 17' is the best angle here, but that doesn't mean that I don't also love Bama -17. That said, as a general principle, I'd rather find another way than laying 17 no matter how much i like the side.
Also, Oklahoma's defense is decent. If they can keep things relatively tight early, it's not unthinkable that they could hold Bama under 30. I think that there's a better possibility of 26-10/28-13 than I do 40-20/41-23.
BOL tonight Tommy!Comment -
