What's up, Smut? I've been focused more on sides than totals this week. Last week in my big pool and i am positioned to make some noise, so my thoughts are primarily ATS. Friday is one of my favorite days of the year (along with new years day and first day of NCAA tourney). Don't love a lot of plays that day at the moment though. Like Iowa, but that's now +2. Like Fresno despite line move, also Pitt and Wazzu. Pitt side currently my favorite play Friday.
Saturday looks great. Missou, Bama, UNC, OSU look good, and USC, ND, Baylor and Noles look like possibilities.
As for weather, i definitely consider it. I apply that after running the general model (i might adjust model for slightly lower number of plays based upon weather). Wind is a bigger deal than cold so far as reducing scoring in my book. Cold and/or wet turf can help scoring as much as it hurts - depends upon whether or not the teams tackle well. A team like Indiana gets worked on wet turf, but Sparty does not.
Can't blame you for liking Sparty vs OSU. I'm big OSU fan, but i'm not blinded by fanship. Dantonio has a great defense that could stop OSU. Much as I love my Buckeyes, I'm not clamoring for them to get a shot at Bama. Saban will embarass them. Bama vs Noles is the game that any rational football fan wants. I love OSU and i wish that this team were title material but in my humble opinion they don't have what it takes to beat Bama. Then again, if Urban has what it takes to get into a wayback machine and plant Jameis Winston's DNA, who's knows if there is a limit to his powers?Comment -

Pitt ahh you know I love my U and they play well against soft teams like pitt but theyre too inconsistent team for me to bet on right now....
I was leaning the other way in missou, think they just beat up on hurt teams like uga and ten, Worley was out the game they put up only 3 pts on them...johnny football will keep the game close with some backyard magic, missou defense isn't that much improved, last year johnny laid 59 on em....
