im not certain he would have made less, but he probably felt the offer wasnt lucrative enough given the added risk of taking a short notice fight, against someone he wasnt training for. and with only 8 days of promotion, obviously they wouldnt be maximizing the fight's potential.

bones just came out with a statement. he said it boils down to lack of preparation time. he said he would be willing to fight sonnen on 9/22.

I used to sell MLB picks. I won from betting, but made a lot from selling picks, too. That's like saying just because you do well betting, it doesn't make sense that you work a regular job, too.

Yeah I suppose so...although to play Devil's advocate like Keanu, one could argue that your regular job isnt inextricably linked to your betting (i.e if you have a shiit night of betting doesnt mean you'll necessarily have a shiiit stand-up comedy performance). But if your touting then your bets and bets that you are touting go hand-in-hand so a bit different
