his fight against holloway, his best advantage was taken away by someone just as quick and versatile striking, but considerably longer

I agree with you that Lawrence is a really talented guy, and I don't believe in writing someone's mental game off simply because of one or two moments of weakness. That being said, I do believe he broke in the Chiesa and Holloway fights, at least to some degree. Whether or not that makes him mentally weak is arguable, but there can be no argument that he's shown the propensity to slow down as the fight goes on. Didn't Lawrence get pounded out by Chiesa, though? I remember Chiesa getting two retarded stoppage wins on TUF, one against Vick and one against Lawrence, where he reversed them, mounted them, and threw five or six punches from mount, and both guys instantly quit and turtled until the stoppage. It was one of the most mind-boggling things I'd ever seen in MMA at the time. I couldn't understand how they got stopped.

Yeah, same here. So many fighters just quit fighting that season. Mike Rio quit was Ogle and I think Ogle later on might have quit in the fight he lost too though I'm not 100%
