#387I was thinking the exact same thing and was gonna say it, but I wasn't sure if he really did make small bets or if that's just how I remembered it...Originally posted by VaughanyWhat I dont get is that if you're earning a 6 figure salary and are as good at MMA handicapping as Wannabet claims to be then surely you'd be inclined to bet more than $100 on a fight? And this isnt a dig at him as such, maybe the reason he does only bet $100 is because he has so much money so doesnt need to bet big on things like MMA? But then again, if u are so confident in ur abilities like Mr Wannabet seems to be and as rich as Mr Wannabet claims to be then surely it would do no harm to be betting thousands on ones he's confident in?

On a serious note though that's exactly what i thought, 6 figures and claims of making more in a month than "I" (lets say the average joe) makes in a year. If we assume that an avg yearly wage is what $40-50K, total guess, that means he'd be making at least $51k a month right? so total gross income of $612,000.
If we lower the avg yearly wage to say $35k, probably to low, it still works out at $432,000.
oops i think i've highlighted an obvious flaw in his argument

#406With respect to my betting sums, I initially started out small to steadily build a bankroll. Everybody does; if you didn't, I question how well your bankroll management skills will hold up long-term. I wasn't earning nearly the same salary then, not that it mattered in terms of my risk tolerance back then. I steadily increased my bankroll over time and increased the value of my units accordingly.
The whole $100 per event line is simply bullshit perpetuated by Vaughany and pretty slimey considering he posts in the Sherdog bet threads and sees that I risk $1,000 on a single fight for guys I'm confident in (like JDS vs Mir as a recent example). I don't even consider $1,000 on a fight a lot of money anymore from a dollars & cents POV, but I like to win first & foremost so I have to do everything within reason to keep that going. Should a wealthy person who enjoys playing poker just step up to the $10/$20 NL table and plop down $5,000 or should he be playing $2/5 and getting the hang of brick & mortar poker before escalating to higher stakes? One approach is smart, the other is stupid. I didn't get rich by making stupid decisions.
It is clear that I am a black sheep around here from the ridicule I get. I'm surrounded by a number of averages Joes that just don't get where I'm coming from. You see me as a clown in a mask that prescribes to being something more than I am. To be honest, I don't care; keep making memes. You're only hurting the SBR community. My intentions are to share MMA knowledge and to share in the profits I've accumulated over many years of successful, +EV betting. I see that I was far too naive and the lowest common denominator on this board, the scum that lurks in every thread, kills it for the rest of the SBR MMA community that wants to win money & engage in knowledgeable MMA discussion. It's unfortunate but I've since moved on to better venues for that sort of thing.Comment -

#408Dude, you're simply a hater. Pure & simple. Your arguments lose all credibility when you specifically pick & prod at one bet (which you lied about since I had him in a parlay too for another $100 cash) to say I bet $100 when on the same card, with much more attention and fighter breakdown given by me on Sherdog, I had a $1,000 swing depending on the outcome of the Nate Marquardt fight.Originally posted by VaughanyWell I was basing on the last event wer u were jizzing over Roger Gracie on twitter all week so presumed tht was one u wer confident in yet according to ur post on sherdog u only had $115 on him. And come on. Jizzing over Roger Gracie on twitter? I posted a 2U bet and my reasons in 3 "140-character or less" posts.
I commented on a salient point in the King Mo/Gracie fight that was not noticed by the broadcasters but by some astute fans on Sherdog afterwards and by Gracie himself: Gracie was rocked by a headbutt when he tried to engage in the clinch with Mo and subsequently got KOed. I argued that his chin is being faded without legitimate evidence.
Someone responded:
I gave him a link to the gif which clearly showed the heads clashing and Gracie then getting pounded out (google it if you wish). I asked who Jardine had KOed to justify him as a KO artist. I was vindicated when Gracie got hit with a big right uppercut/left hook combo in round three, ate it, and kept his wits about him. In actuality I wish I was wrong because I live-bet Jardine at 125:1, all documented on Sherdog, so I would've made considerably more if Gracie did have a glass chin.rocked by a head butt are u kidding me? He got pwned he has no business fighting in a cage hea a grappler nothing more
Honestly, don't be so butthurt that you bet on Jardine. I'm sure you arbed out for 10 squids. You should share it with your "Vaughany +EV tailers" though since they're left holding nothing but their dick in their hands.Comment -

#411You said you currently bet $50 units the other week in your Wanderlei thread. You mean to say you bet even less than $50 per unit before? lol.Originally posted by Wanna Bet On It?With respect to my betting sums, I initially started out small to steadily build a bankroll. once again I thought you said your losing play on Wanderlei was the biggest play you made in your life at "14 units". I know because I mocked you about it. Cmon, on average you bet like 50-100 on a fight. The whole $100 per event line is simply bullshit perpetuated by Vaughany and pretty slimey considering he posts in the Sherdog bet threads and sees that I risk $1,000 on a single fight for guys I'm confident in (like JDS vs Mir as a recent example). Oh so you mean when you were firing air units on Jim Miller you were not the "MMA betting expert" you now claim to be, you were just an average fanboy who "enjoys betting on fights"? I see.Should a wealthy person who enjoys playing poker just step up to the $10/$20 NL table and plop down $5,000 or should he be playing $2/5 and getting the hang of brick & mortar poker before escalating to higher stakes? One approach is smart, the other is stupid. I didn't get rich by making stupid decisions.
So when did you make the transition from somebody who enjoys betting on MMA, to a "betting expert"? Was it when you lost your "biggest wager ever"? Or was it around the same time you went from age 16 to 30 in a matter of weeks?
So does this mean you will leave or will you keep coming back for more like the masochistic little phaget you are. I don't want to confuse anyone, maybe Vaugany and Dublin think Im calling you a "cigarette" or something. Youre a focking Mincer, bruv.It is clear that I am a black sheep around here from the ridicule I get. I'm surrounded by a number of averages Joes that just don't get where I'm coming from.
