Didn't he shoot for the takedown every round? He got stuffed badly in round 1, succeeded in round 2 but Nogueira got up pretty easily, got stuffed again in round 3.

I just thought he might have set them up differently. His stance told me he was looking for a KO. Just my opinion though.

Well... If Straus was smart, he would have deserved that steep line of his, but no, he had to try and clinch/TD. I still think he won that though.

His carrer is over. Definately showing his age. And like you said, can't finish deep takedowns.. He probably knew that his strength wasn't what it used to be, so KOing the opponent was his best option. I gameplaned it as if he had the takedown ability. I was wrong.
