Anyone who considers the "rake" in a poker game to be "participant" would have to be a complete fool who has no clue what he is talking about. The rake is the definition of a "transaction cost". The fact that raking the pot removes money from the game is what makes it the definition of a "negative sum game". Whereas a non raked game would be the definition of a "zero sum game".

It's like saying that "overhead" involved in a "negative sum game" is not "overhead" but merely another "participant". It's like saying the rake is a "participant" in a "zero sum game" of whom other "participants" are able to profit from. Really, this was one of the stupidest things ever written on here. It's no wonder, considering you are on first name basis with the twerp in the gimp mask.
