#257These idiots are trying to be funny. Jim Hettes was my remaining play in the contest. Riddle out, it makes sense of the money to be transfered to the other fighter in my contest who I had under $200 on.
You fools are trying to be funny when you didn't even have Riddle picked. At least you keep each other entertained. Retards.
You guys are such little bitches that you try to make a joke about it instead of acknolweging it'd be the fair move LOL wow-- i don't care, count Riddle as a loss and make me an extra -$240 for all i care. That just would have been the fair move. Anybody who thinks otherwise is being a bitch.
Bottom line is, if Riddle wasn't on the card, my money would have CLEARLY been on Hettes. These retards making unfunny jokes didn't even have him picked.
Don't make the fair move and move the money on Hettes. Doesn't make a difference for me, just shows what kind of pussies I'm dealing with.
All fights with Riddle picked should have money transferred to the next fighter picked with the least $ risk. Either that, or an automatic win, since Riddle still got his Win bonus. =)Comment -

#264Originally posted by bogbatHow do we know that you wouldn't have found another spot on the card if Riddle wasn't available from the start? I had Riddle. My other two plays were $400 each on Gamburyan and Hettes. Should my remaining $200 go on Hettes or on Hendricks who I chose as a replacement before the fight took place?
It can't be a no contest like it is with betting 'cos we only get 1k to use. Something like that effects the contest.
I didn't for a second think you guys would be fair and agree with me, but I had to say it, anyway.Comment -

#265Seems obvious its a push. Its a gambling forum after all. I mean, if I called 5dimes, and said you shouldve put my riddle money on hettes...

#266The only other fair move would be for everyone who had Riddle to have the $ risked on him transferred to the next card.
For example, I had $240 on Riddle, so for UFC 142, I'll have $1,240 to risk.Comment -

#273No, it doesn't seem obvious that it's a push. We're playing a contest, not making wagers. Having a fight not take place effects the contest. Not winning anything is almost like losing that bet, 'cos it hurts you in the contest.Comment -

#275Should have made a rule for this, but who would have known. For the others that bet during the event that is kind of against the rules as well, but we should definitely allow it in this spot. I think the best way to deal with this is to have the people that didn't chose a new play to carry over their Riddle bet amounts to the next event. If not maybe a portion of the Riddle bet amount. We can't assume anyone was going to play a certain fighter here even if that is what might be obvious to some. Like all betting and contests, small mistakes cause changes in results. We had posts in the past about having fighters names spelled wrong and the bets were cancelled. The books couldn't assume the obvious that the bet was made thinking the name was correct and not a different person. There's a reason people put smaller amounts on some fighters and if they had to chose a new fighter they might take someone with more juice rather than putting more on an underdog.
Basically, I agree with Gabe's new idea.Comment -
