BJ could take him down and win but he will probably exchange with Diaz and possibly wilt under Diaz's pace.

I don't think BJ will be content getting pitter patter'd by Diaz and his near half a foot reach advantage -- given BJ's wrestling shown against Fitch, I'd look for BJ to close the distance and go for the takedown... that's my gut instinct at this point...

I'd also presume that Dana sweetened the deal for BJ here and guarantee'd a title shot if he wins, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess he'll be motivated here if Diaz is the only obstacle standing in the way to a potential 3rd shot at GSP.

BJ is a better boxer than Diaz and can counter Diaz all day I believe. If Penn wants to take this fight to the ground he will have no trouble getting it there.

I hate Penn and respect nicks ability.

I do feel like high level ww will beat nick.

It's weird to watch 2 guys we are told are great going at it.

On 1 hand we have a guy who has beat only 1 welterweight an te other has no high ranked wins.

I feel Penn will be in a very aggressive form and takes this

BJs boxing can cause more damage to Nick with his jab,and his counter punching. If Diaz throws a lazy pitter pat he could get caught. BJ has seemed angry lately in his fights which is good if you bet him but he's too moody for me to bet on. Who knows if he's peaking at the right time in his training etc. Having said that I do think he is the better all around fighter and think he will be quicker.In a three rd fight I like his chances

concerning BJ, Nick says that he's not going to hold down BJ like all these other b*tch fighters did because they were bigger and stronger,he's gonna fight this tricky MFer and that could go badly for him. I tend to think Nick is telling us the truth because he is usually pretty straight forward. If anyone can post that rant on here that would be great as I suck at anything computer related

how good "friends" are they? how long ago did they train together. GSP/Condit have been training recently and no complaints from them.

As a guy who hates penn, i find myself hoping he destroys diaz. i dont like the way nick handles himself at all. I have never seen a guy talk soooooo much trash and have almost no big wins.

I think he has proved himself as a legit contender with or without so called big wins.

I see this being a pretty close, back and forth fight until Penn gasses. Also, Diaz' length is gonna cause problems for BJ in the stand up for sure. I think Diaz just takes this one by decision.

I'm surprisingly way more psyched about this fight than the GSP/Condit fight. I think Diaz takes it based on reach alone. I'd feel better about it if it were five rounds though as Diaz has more in the gas tank (that, or he just has a more efficient engine).
