Event was very good to me and I didn't watch so minimal stress.

GSP is excellent at neutralizing his opponents strengths. So he would try to avoid striking toe to toe with Anderson. Anderson isn't good at defending take downs so GSP would shoot in and put Anderson on his back. That would be the fight for 5 rounds in my opinion. GSP might TKO him with ground and pound though, or there is always the chance Anderson catches GSP with something in the stand up. That guy is insanely accurate with his striking. I would bet on the fight going the distance though, especially after seeing Silvas heart in the sonnen fight.

It's ok to try to stop your opponents strong point but doing what GSP did and just do the minimum to win boring Is just bad for the UFC. Glad to see his round streak end though.

Whilst a fighter is fighting they are just wearing shorts so the only sponsor visible is what is on them...I highly doubt they are gonna pay by the minute just so that people see his shorts for longer!

GSP didn't have a good fight by his own standards and admission. Shields had opportunities to win but was probably a little awed-if you didn't know his name before you should now. I guarantee any clowns taunting GSP for being concerned with his eye had your last fight in grade four. Having your vision buggered is definitely one of the most disconcerting injuries for anyone-especially a fighter. Great fight, glad I took the line risk on GSP decision wager.

Make your money here. Instead of laying the -400 for GSP to win, I put money on the -155 for OV 3.5 rounds. Over the last 2 years GSP has taken all his fights to decision. Skilled fighter but losing ability to finish.

he used his opened left hand to hit GSP on the side of his left eye so the ref couldn't see the opened fist and fingers sticking out, because they were screened by GSP's nose when they made contact. That was def a cheap shot. I don't know anyone who punches with their fingers pointed out like that that isn't in the marines or delta forces. haha

At first glace it looked like Shields was opening up with a bitch slap... but yep, sure enough blatant eye poke. I can't believe all the hate GSP is getting right now for his performance. Even with one eye, he still outclassed Jake... who is completely legit.
