Crocop vs Gonzaga

Crocop had just ran through the OWGP like a hot knife through butter and had a fight under his belt to settle down into the UFC. Crazy pride loyalists had promised that he would have the belt within the year, that is to say if the UFC HWs didn't just surrender it immediately out of fear. Fox still had their pride show at that time, and they pretty much had that Wanderlei vicious head KO on loop. Plus he also took care of Barnett in impressive fashion. Gonzaga looked like a crazy wild man beast. Raised by wolves, wolves that knew jiu jitsu.

Somebody was going to get utterly smashed.....

Event happened in Merry ol' England, and I taped it for my roommate at the time. I was kind of an asshole and hit pause right on the moment Gonzaga hit the high kick, put a sticky note on the tv saying "I told you so"

then I had to wait a couple of hours for him to arrive, but it was well worth it

Yep me 2, Im a sucker for the Primetime shows! Well the BJ vs GSP and GSP vs Hardy ones anyway!

Im sure I'll be in the minority with this one but I was also rather hyped for the Marcus Davis vs Dan Hardy fight due to having a substantial bet on Hardy as dog at +175 and because of how genuinely pissed off Marcus Davis seemed! The contrast between how up-tight and annoyed Davis was, and how layed-back and jovial Hardy was worked well! Still one of my favourite previews for a fight!...

I guess that's why I was so hyped for Fedor vs. Rogers. Strikeforce really put some effort into promoting that fight. At least more than they normally do. Showtime even had a 30 minute special surrounding Fedor and Rogers. It was very well done. I wish showtime would do more!

rarely get excited for the fights anymore. I blame gambling. MMA 24/7 for the last 2 years has wore me out a bit. I probably have more fun breaking the fights down than actually watching them.

Lesnar vs. Cain was the last fight I was hyped to see.

any chance I get to see Lesnar take a beating is usually pretty exciting. doubt I'll be betting on the fight though. need +160 or better on either fighter for me to make a play. Brock by decision could be worth a look.

Brock by decision might be... I wish they had a prop for "Brock catching an uppercut going for his usual sloppy, no set up takedowns".

i was hyped for machdia shogun 2. im a big machida fan and i really hoped that machida would take his exposed weaknesses in machida/shogun 1 and learn from them. then decisively beat shogun in the rematch and shut up all the guys claiming "robbery" and fight-fixing.

unfortunately that didn't happen lol.

Any fight where the crowd is emotionally involved is a good one.

Last fight I got hyped for was cain/lesnar. Next is UFC RIO because its going on during the bash.

If fedor/overeem actually seems like it will happen I would be very excited.
