Cant take too much from it, it was quick, but Damarques looked phenomenal last fight. Guymon isnt a pushover. He was expected to be stronger than Damarques. I think either Damarques strength or wrestling has improved. His power advantage on the feet may bring the standup closer to even. I made a mistake, and took Damarques at +160. Hopefully just a mistake because of the bad line.

Guymon couldn't handle the pressure of the UFC. He turned 36 last September, and admitted in interviews that his retirement alleviated all the stress and pressure he had been feeling in the UFC.

Remember, he attempted suicide a year and a half ago.

I would just caution against using such a fighter as a metric to gauge his opponents' skills. Guymon was at the very end of his career and it's clear his confidence and fight mentality was not at a high point in his last fight.

I am not bashing Guymon, just saying Guymon may not be the best guy to measure Demarques skills against, you know what I mean?

Looked kinda sketchy. He walked in wearing a hooded sweatshirt and I thought oh sh!t he's been trying to sweat it out, probably over. He did the old tip toe on the scale. They looked at his weight for a long time before saying something and then announcing 171.

I think Garcia by KO +488 is the play. Garcia is not the guy to fight coming off a bad KO like that.

Hope all the Davis decision takers hit, I really don't see what Phil would do for 3 rounds though. If Brilz can rock Nog and lock in a guillotine for a few seconds, I don't know how Davis can't get this guy finished. I guess it's blasphemy suggesting a black belt get tapped or that antique jaw never shatter (though Soko did it) but this just might be Mr. Wonderful's breakthrough performance and Lil Nog's "certified downhill" performance, it certainly has the potential to be. If I were Davis I'd wanna put Nog out right away, not control him on the ground for 3 rounds.

If you have access to Paddy, you could have got Miranda by submission at +700 (originally over +800). I don't see how he wins the fight any other way.

He's always going to be vulnerable to takedowns at 170. There's a flip-side to his size and strength; look closely at Anthony Johnson's stance during any one of his fights and you'll see what he loses by being 6'2" and having a 78" wingspan. It sounds specious, but his legs are so long - and always so close to his opponent - that it makes him extremely, extremely susceptible to single leg takedowns. Luigi Fiorvanti got single leg position on him by simply bending over and grabbing.
