Live MMA betting is a whole new animal as far as I know. Live betting on other sports gives you betting windows (one would assume that in MMA naturally these betting windows would be in between rounds) in which you can bet on props and adjusted money lines on the players/teams.

So here is what I would expect, after a first round in which Guida dominated Gomi with his wrestling (something I hope doesn't happen), live betting would allow you to bet on an adjusted Guida -250 line or an adjusted Gomi +190 line or maybe a prop or two; such as: fight ends in second round yes +200 no -270. Maybe throw in betting lines by submission, decision, or knockout. and all of these lines adjust according to the live action.

So if Gomi comes out like a house on fire in the second, his line would adjust to lets say +110 in between rounds 2 and 3. If Guida continues to dominate, the lines would change drastically to like +330 for Gomi -500 for Guida. Since all signs seem to be pointing towards Guida by decision.

Ok, I think I've had some experience with this before. There used to be a site called tradesports.com that did something really close to what you just described.

        thanks for the 411

          no prob

it is a great way to bet favorites imo, I do it all the time in football and basketball. Team starts off slow and people panic and drive the line, allowing me to take the favorite that I wanted at a ridiculously low line. Just think about a fight like Cain vs Brock, if the books didn't catch on to how gas'd Cain was, you could have made off like a bandit

i think you're talking about Carwin there, but yeah. That would've been a great live betting opportunity.

I'm pissed at the WEC. I went to a UFC fight at MGM some time ago and though I had good seats (2nd price level) I watched most fights via the large screens placed around the arena because I was too far away to see the action without the TVs. So when I heard WEC was gonna be in Arizona I got floor seats, row 9. Thought I did pretty good, but went to ticketmaster today just to see what kind of seats were still available and they have 2nd row floor for the same price as my 9th row floor. WTF!!!

winner of Henderson/Pettis get to face the winner of Maynard/Edgar, but does the winner of Cruz/Jorgensen win a UFC belt tonight. The next TUF season might be tonights winner vs Faber So i'm curious to see if there will be a champ or will Cruz/Jorgensen Vs Faber be for a vaccant UFC Bantamweight title

I definitely think they will crown the winner tonight with the belt. They gave Aldo his belt already, so I think they will do the same here. It would be interesting though to see if they will maybe vacate it to have a chance at their posterboy Faber to be the first UFC Bantamweight champ.

LOL. Well I had Barao for the first leg of a parlay so thats good. However I had a flyer on Zhang fastest sub. Hes gunna have to be EXTRA quick now....Hopefully Barao gets some recognition now.

Hoping Alcantara tops Barao with a faster sub and Zhang comes over the top with an even faster sub. A mini competition if you will

Well, I got pooched on the prelims one last time. I was into Alacantara for sure but was also into Cariaso depending, so who knows? Might have gone with some of these somewhat tasty looking dogs like Stone or Menjivar, so if they fall on their face I should feel better about myself.
