Im not trying to disprove EVERYTHING you say dude, I agreed with you that Strikeforce can be more entertaining. My point is that you have to be objective and take other things in to account - such as that the fights can be extremely one sided in Strikeforce as they were on the 4th December (I wasnt the only one that pointed that out). U dont have to disparage the UFC to make your point, it is possible that they can BOTH still be entertaining, they're not mutually exclusive!

They have been doing one sided events since their very first show in San Jose (that I attended). I really wish I could have bet on that, anyways it was a great night. Every single fighter from California won convincingly. Cung Le put on a show.

Yeah I was. That was pretty blatant. Same event that Caesar Gracie took one punch and decided to pack it in, bout lasted shorter than a minute. So I get the honor of saying I saw his debut and his retirement, and it all happened in the same night! Those early events may have been carnival acts, but they sure were entertaining.

Who in UFC do you see as being a can exactly? As we've already established, every fighter in the 3 main fights of that last Strikeforce event main card was a former UFC fighter. So if they arn't even able to stick around in the UFC which is as you say 'cans crushing each other' then what does that make the likes of Lawler, Lindland, Hendo and Babalu?! Its all well and good watching Lawler go and KO Lindland (which everybody expected), and Hendo KO Babalu (which everybody expected) and Daley KO Smith (which everybody expected), but I'd rather watch Jim Miller (who was the underdog and everybody expected a Miller decision or Oliveira win) go and submit Oliveira in the first round; or watch Thiago Alves put on a technical striking clinic against Howard..so yes the last exciting UFC event for me was UFC124! And I will have fun watching Maynard and Edgar, u clearly have no comprehension of technique if u dont like watching either of these guys fight. And when will u watch Diaz and Daley...they aren't fighting on Jan 1st!? U make out like Strikeforce only has stacked cards, did they or did they not have to bring Benji Radach in at the last minute (another UFC reject) for the last event just to fill the card even when he was 20lbs overweight and without a training camp?!

And Diaz not a sissy?...Mayhem would beg to differ brah! I understand that it seems to be the cool thing today to hate on the UFC and Dana White because its the dominant power, the same as people hate on Manchester United because they dominated English football for years, I realise it makes u feel like ur challenging social and cultural norms and being all anti-establishment...but you really need to think about it and to quote Mayhem... For loving Pride so much, you might want to brush up on its history and sale. DSE were looking to sell off Pride even before Zuffa came along. They were bleeding money, TV deals were falling apart, events were being cancelled and it was going under. As well, when Zuffa purchased it, they wanted to keep it as a separate entity. They wanted to still have Pride in Japan and the UFC in the US, with cross-promotion a couple of times a year with the fighters from both companies squaring off. The Yakuza and ppl behind the Japanese market wouldn't allow an american company to operate on their soil. Therefore, Zuffa had to fold it into the UFC. You act like Dana White threw on his cowboy hat, got on his horse and bought up a prospering business. There's a reason it sold for less than 70 million. The Japanese were looking for anyone to dump it on.

Ok this makes sense. I don't go into all the inner workings. Good job. But, I do know good fights. Honestly, have you seen any of those old pride shockwave tournaments? The ones they would have every new year. Those were good times. Would start at 4am est. Guys trust me. Try to find some of those old pride events from 01 to 06. Ufc couldnt touch them. The soccer kick and the legal head stomping of a downed opponent was a big key to the excitement. Then I was forced to watch only ufc for a few years. I watched the events get more and more boring. It seems I'm not the only one that's feels the same. You notice everyday somebody new is posting that agrees.
