Looks like Wineland may have to pull out of the Page fight judging from his latest facebook status!....

Will suck if he does as it will be an awesome fight! If he doesnt pull out it may still factor in to betting on Page as it will no doubt disrupt Wineland's training significantly.

Mighty Mouse Demetrious Johnson replaces Wineland. Will defo be taking Page if I can catch the opener at -150 or better, or may do a double with Faber. Also like Jabouin to beat Visher at -120 or better and possibly Mendes if it's close to evens or better. Taurosevicius and LC Davis managed to take Vazquez to decision without gettin submitted so I dont see why Mendes (who is a better wrestler thn both those two) cant do the same. Mendes is inexperienced tho and could get given a BJJ lesson by Vazquez!

Featherweight bout: Chad Mendes vs. Javier Vazquez

Preliminary Card:
Featherweight bout: Raphael Assunção vs. LC Davis
Lightweight bout: Anthony Njokuani vs. Edward Faaloloto
Lightweight bout: Zach Micklewright vs. Dustin Poirier
Bantamweight bout: Clint Godfrey vs. Michael McDonald
Featherweight bout: Cub Swanson vs. Mackens Semerzier
Featherweight bout: Yves Jabouin vs. Brandon Visher

Will be looking at small plays on Jabouin, Swanson and LC Davis, and a medium play on Faber and Benavidez (Team Alpha-Male double!). Also, possibly a medium to big play on Page if I catch him early at decent odds. Mighty Mouse is a small bantamweight which was why he struggled to outwrestle Brad Pickett even though that is his main strength. Page is a better wrestler than Pickett so I expect to see Page shrugging off Mighty Mouse's takedowns or at least getting up quickly if he is taken down and ending up with a 2nd or 3rd round TKO. Only thing that concerns me is that it's been over a year since Page last fought so ring rust may be a factor, doesn't bode well against a guy like Mighty Mouse who has constant pressure and great cardio. However, I also thought Grispi would struggle with ring rust as he'd been out for over 12 months before his last fight with LC Davis (who is also predominantly a wrestler who sets the pace) but ended up choking Davis out in the 1st round...perhaps ring rust is not as big an issue for the lighter dudes in MMA such as featherweights and bantamweights? I think there will be too much chalk on Grispi's odds, bound to be -350 to -400 against Koch.

Also look out for Michael "Mayday" McDonald against Godfrey. Only 19, brown-belt in BJJ and good power in his hands, hoping he comes out as the underdog as it's his WEC debut and due to Godfrey's experience.

ha yeah the "Black Sniper", quite the character he was! Thought it was him for a minute thn realised he outweights this McDonald by almost 100lbs and must be about 45 by now!

He's also a brown-belt BJJ as well so could have the advantage on the ground as well as standing against Godfrey.

The odds for rest of the card are out on Sportsbook, hopefully Pinnacle will release their lines later tonight. As I write this Jabouin has already dropped from +275 to + 215 and Vazquez +275 to +240 which are still decent value IMO and I predict both will fall to -180 to -200 range by fight night. May also be value in Semerzier +250 (now dropped to +200), Assuncao +150 (now dropped to +125), Faaloloto +300, and Mighty Mouse at +300. Mcdonald has dropped from -175 to -120, I shall be taking him if his odds improve even more.

I just put 5 units on Mendes at +225 on 5dimes and it was cancelled within seconds lol. Books got their odds jacked on this one - dont try to middle, it'll be cancelled!

haha yeah it's showing on bestfightodds.com as +225 for 5dimes and SportBet! I was like WTF...surely too good to be true! Anyway I've put a unit on Vazquez at +252 (as I was expecting Vazquez to be more like +175) and a unit on Mayday McDonald at -121.

Mizugaki at +305 is a really good value. Faber can do nothing to him but take him to the mat and outwork. Mizugaki has a good
gas tank so this will be an entertaining battle.

I see a big chance Mizugaki taking this.

I'd take Poirier as underdog for sure...he went from +145 to Evens on Sportsbook. Might add him to one of my parlays that I plan to do if his odds are Evens or better on paddypower.
