It's called PR (Public Relations)... I would've expected you to know this shit. Coming out at the end of the fight saying "it was a shit stoppage, I won the fight, the ref is retarded" doesn't get you anywhere. Did you notice how Rory's cornermen gave him the thumbs up when he walked out of the ring? His performance after the fight was just as important as his performance during the fight

Yep he was taking some serious damage, if you were to look at both of them after the fight had finished but hadn't seen the fight you have to admit that you'd assume Carlos won.

The position during the stoppage he was holding Condit down completely with his hands and Condit looked like he was going to take a few seconds break before striking again. Condit also said he didn't know how much time was left in the round so if you watch the replay on the end of the fight, you would see that Rory would have no problem defending himself for the last few seconds. He wasn't even close to out and even though he was taking a beating, defending himself was never a problem.

but fights aren't decided by the appearance afterwards. Mac won the first 2 rounds easily. I think he lost the 3rd 10-8. Ref changed it from a no decision to a TKO. It is how it is I suppose, I just disagree with that stoppage after you've heard the clap (10 seconds left).

Very well said. Not once anywhere in the round could you say Rory wasn't actively defending. Especially with so little time left....... rough decision.

If a fight is 3 rounds, you have 3 rounds to finish or accept a decision based on all the rounds. Saying someone deserves a fight based on damage to the other persons body is ridiculous. A stoppage is based on a sub, ko, dq or someone not being able to defend themself. Stopping a fight because someone has taken a lot of damage is ridiculous if that person is still defending and trying to get out of a bad position.

yeah yeah, I know... I just feel the decision to stop the fight was just because the fight should have been scored a draw if it went to decision but we all know it probably wouldn't have.

Funny how Rothwell and Kongo both used wrestling on their fights after Valasquez. I guess after that beating they took, they thought it would be a good idea. However, they both still suck at it and this makes for boring fights.
