I like these free events the best. If anything the UFC should do more free events. The best thing would be to merge with the WEC and have more free events. This would also allow top WEC fighters to be in PPV's and make more money. Also main cards would be stacked. The reason why UFC isn't the only brand is because they have 2 brands themselves and don't do the obvious. If they took the best from Strikeforce they could get free events every week, while still keeping 1 or 2 PPV's a month and having the best cards ever.

Bones Jones is looking like some good parlay material. He shouldnt have to much trouble smashing matyushenkos old ass.Hopefully the ufc givers him a fight with a top contender after this.

a while back, wrestlers were getting flack about not doing enough action and steered away from their foundation
now with GSP doing nothing but playing it safe with wrestling, its like wrestling has made a sudden resurgence in the cage and will dominate like it once it once did
munoz +175 over okami

ya i think so also. Unless Gomi does a flip on his striking style, joe will have no problem ducking his power punching. And i dont think that gomi will survive the first trip to the ground. Gomi should have taken up Kenflo's offer to train.
damn gomi had an offer to train with kenflo? i wish these asian fighters would train in the us. i understand its difficult to leave home and train in a foreign country but it would do these fighters soooo mcuh good. just look at the progress okami made while spending just 1 month with team quest.

I dont know how legit the offer was or if it was extended after ken said it. Right after the gomi fight, in the cage, ken said something like gomi can train with him anytime. It could have just been out of respect and probably was but I was just elaborating on that.

Can't wait to see Jon Jones fight. He's a great prospect and I like that the UFC is building him up.

I actually don't like the bones pick at all, even in a parlay. -600 is HUGE, especially since the last fight Matyushenko has lost in a long time was against Nogueira, after a long layoff with what he says was a groin torn right off of his pubic bone (see link). I still think bones is going to win but it is too much risk for too little reward for me.
books liie 5Dimes and Bodog have full card odds for versus 2 and UFC 117, some possible multi-fight parlays between the two events

Got 0.2 units on Kimmons and Thiago Silva double, 0.2 units on Irvin and Griffin double and then 0.25 units on DaMarques Johnson....confident at least 2 of those 3 will come through. Probably gonna resist a play on Munoz and Stann even tho I think thers decent value ther. Gonna wait till just before the event before adding Kelly...hoping he might drop from 5/6 to evens.

If it's not worth a straight bet, it's not worth a parlay.
At -600, Bones has to win more than six out of seven times for the bet to be profitable. And that calculation is exactly the same regardless of straight or parlay betting.
