I'll tell you something my SBR brothers. I'm an older athlete myself..

Hey but when you hit 40 it rocks your soul. You begin to think I got family and loved ones and the eye of the tiger is lost. You get in a grind fight you will begin to look for an out. Body not only will gas but mind will not be like it was in you 20's and 30's..

Doubt creeps in.. That's life. MMA is a young mans sport.. If you are 40+ and have a loving wife and kids you go there first in mind and thoughts.

THAT'S KEEPING IT REAL WHEN YOU AGE.. Mortality is a biiitch in MMA. It's also a beautiful thing when you age as you begin to understand what is important in life... With age comes wisdom so to speak..

My take as a 50 year old that is still trying to get it done.. Not the same dude when in my mid 20's.. Maybe stronger today but not the same will and cardio to win and finish shiiit when your life and health is on the line..

Age is biiiitch..With age comes wisdom though. Next!!!

I understand that, but it is still impressive cormier went that deep into a HW bout with no cheating, no scandals, and just being a good man. AT THAT AGE!! I mean he could have won that fight if he stepped back and wasn't so gassed. I just respect the true heroes of the sport. If you fight you will lose, I promise you that, and that is why Jon jones needs to cheat. He is fighting men smaller than him while he is on steroids. He is not the best ever. He's just a pathetic cheater trying to make money and feed his ego. let him fight the HW's and watch him get beat. he knows it and he is scared. He's a bully not someone to be admired. Just look how much smaller cormier is compared to jones.

this is the fight that needs to happen. but dc has earned the right to fight the winner after on his way out. of course he would be 41 by then, but he would only have to get up for one last time.

The last 3 fights of that main card were all awesome. I thought Romero-Costa was arguably fight of the night and could have went either way. In fact, a lot of people thought Romero won but I thought you could make the case for either guy the fight was that good. Then Diaz looked like he hasn't lost a step as he dominated most of the fight against Pettis. What can you say about the Main Event other than Stipe made an incredible adjustment after losing those first three rounds and it paid off as those body shots hurt DC and ultimately allowed Stipe to move in for the TKO.

That adjustment was key. Throwing and connecting with all those Left Hooks to the Body is what won Stipe the fight. Much respect to him.

Amazing fights!!! Amazing how Stipe came back with that body shots and just dismantled DC after taking quite some punishment himself.

Diaz incredible gameplan. Didnt expect he will finally do everything coaches told him. I guess he learned from his mistakes and destroyed totally destroyed Pettis.

Costa-Romero-> Are you kidding me lol. They ate shots from each other like cakes and keep on standing

As a fan i really enjoyed this card. Awesome

just rewatched the romero fight, definitely the right call for the one to win. the gas tank always been the issue for romero, he started to gased hard in middle of the first round and costa never let off the pressure. with his mouth wide open and tongue out like that he should be lucky costa didn't crack that jaw.

I'll take the younger undefeated fighter in this one at plus odds. Like I said he might not win this one by KO because Romero is hard to finish.. Romero will cheat on the chair in between rounds to get his gas back when he feels he is getting punked just to survive. Maybe throw a ball shot or eye poke also..

Nate has brain damage. He's kinda funny. He can barely speak and form complete sentences though. Sounds a little like Mike Tyson on weed. Oh and he's not the best in the world either. He's giving himself too much credit.

Any strong wrestler still puts him on his back and works him over for 3 rounds.. Nate is just game against boxers mostly.. Masvidal will probably kick his asss too.

What I saw tonight is DC and Pettis came in out of shape, Nate and Stipe came in great shape.. That was the difference in both of those fights.. I should have picked up on that at weigh ins.. DC had a gut like I've never seen before on him.. Pettis just looked flabby and soft. Both withered after 1st round.

He did beat up McGregor in the first fight then got worked over in the rematch.. Nate does throw down and come to fight so I gotta respect that!! He won't quit or get mentally punk'd ever..

Not the greatest fighter in the division though.. Sorry Nate, but a good fighter for sure.. Like to see him stay more active now. I'd like to see him fight Masvidal..

Get family and friends to bet against you and take a dive and get paid and still stay in the UFC. I get that..

Still that fight he was trying to win and he was on the rise, don't think he took a dive to collect more cash in just one fight. He got clipped and dropped.. His eyes were in the back of his head when he hit the canvass. I saw it.. Was looking carefully..

    Not fixed!!!

There was a guy in the UFC who was trying that around 5 years ago.

Former UFC fighter Bang Tae Hyun gets 10-month jail term for match-fixing at Fight Night 79

South Korean MMA fighter Bang Tae Hyun was found guilty of taking a bribe of 100 million won (S$124,073) from match-fixers in exchange for promising to throw an Ultimate Fighting Championship bout against Leo Kuntz at Fight Night 79 in 2015.

Seoul (AFP) - South Korean mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Bang Tae Hyun on Thursday (Nov 23) received a 10-month jail sentence for his involvement in a match-fixing scam.
Bang was found guilty of taking a bribe of 100 million won (S$124,073) from match-fixers in exchange for promising to throw an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout against Leo Kuntz at Fight Night 79 in 2015.
The ruling came despite the lightweight fighter apparently changing his mind and going on to beat Kuntz in Seoul after UFC officials - who noticed a sudden shift in betting patterns on gambling websites - warned him about match-fixing.

Bang had received the money from one of the brokers.
"Match-fixing scams undermine public trust in the fairness of sport... This case also damaged the country's international credibility," the Seoul Central District Court said in a statement.
Three brokers were also sentenced to between 10 and 36 months in prison and eight others were handed down suspended jail sentences, the statement said.

ESPN MMA’s Ariel Helwani and Brett Okamoto recap the action from UFC 241 in Anaheim, California with Stipe Miocic regaining the UFC heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier. Okamoto describes a conversation he had with DC after the fight and questions what Cormier would potentially come back for instead of retiring. (7:10) Ariel and Brett react to Nate Diaz’s performance vs. Anthony Pettis and bring up potential opponents for his next fight as well as (9:31) Paulo Costa beating Yoel Romero in a thriller.

With UFC 241 in the books, MMA Fighting's Josť Youngs is joined by Kacper and Denis of Submission Radio to break down the top storylines from Anaheim.

Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier spoke with Joe Rogan after their title fight at UFC 241.

Hear from Stipe Miocic backstage at UFC 241.

Ariel Helwani and Chael Sonnen break down Stipe Miocic's KO of Daniel Cormier and Nate Diaz's unanimous decision win against Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. Sonnen credits Miocic for making adjustments after getting manhandled in Round 1, while questioning why DC didn't execute the game plan from his corner, but Sonnen doesn't expect him to retire. Chael was also impressed with Diaz for coming out strong in his first fight in three years.

ESPN MMA's Brett Okamoto speaks with Daniel Cormier following UFC 241, calling his loss to Stipe Miocic for the UFC heavyweight title “disappointing.”
