Pettis broke his hand and had a huge gash in his head. Much respect to Pettis. Also I think his corner pretty unmade the decision to call the fight.

Good call...he did not have much chance of winning going into R3. But he didn't say a word when his corner made the call. Besides it's not just based on this fight I give him a low fighter's heart rating.

For contrast, I hope Ferguson wipes the floor with Pettis tomorrow.

Pettis always thinks he's the best but he's never willing to put in the work to be the best.

The UFC might have *punished* Pettis for turning down the fight with Khabib in demanding $1 mil.

After Ferguson was injured, Anthony Pettis told the UFC they would have to pay him $1 million to fight Khabib for the title. That might have upset the UFC.

The UFC used to protect Anthony Pettis by giving him easier fights against Jim Miller, Michael Chiesa, etc.

Now the UFC might be throwing Pettis to the wolves by giving him the first fight against top competition he has fought in a long time.

Ferguson said the UFC offered him a $500,000 "finish" bonus if he made Pettis quit.

Pettis will probably always be the poster boy of "hard work beats talent, when talent refuses to work" guy.
