I think Crute wins but that line is nuts.

Some very intriguing fights on this card. If nothing else it should be solid entertainment. I’m really looking forward to Hooper/Kawaihae. That’s an excellent, fun fight.

What do you like in Hooper Shagy? Know a few guys that like Canaan as the dog.

I actually think Canaan is a solid underdog and this pick isn't one of my best. I think this fight is 50/50 so betting Hooper -135 is not a good bet. The reason I took it is that there's just a little bit of "it factor" when I watch his fights. One of those things along the lines of a Sugar Sean O'Malley... really young, undefeated, confident kids who fight like they can't lose. His BJJ is special. I think his BJJ is the single most electric element to this fight.

That said, Canaan is super well-rounded, and probably holds an athleticism and explosiveness advantage. I would not be surprised at all to see him win this fight, I just think Hooper is the more "it factor" guy so I took a shot. The right play here IMO was no bet. I'm just kind of rooting for the kid and guessing that he has that special something. Nothing against Canaan at all. He looks like an excellent prospect to me as well.

I guess if I'm trying to make an argument that my bet is okay, then I would say Hooper has fought the better competition, and has gone 5 rounds in a victory over Brokenshire (prob his toughest opponent) that he apparently did not prepare for and took the fight the night of (2 hours notice according to him). Meanwhile, Canaan has fought lesser competition and has not shown what he can do outside of round 1.

I'm excited for this fight. I really like both guys and I just wanted to have something so I leaned Hooper. I bet these Tuesday cards for fun. Wish I could say I was more serious with it, but I enjoy them too much.

No he shouldn't. Pretty much no one at LHW or HW should be that big a fav. However, he definitely deserves to be a heavy fav and will prob win.
