There's also the temptation to bet on a fighter just because he's the favorite. That's a bad temptation because often the favorites shouldn't be favorites. I've found when the line is above -200, it's just about 50-50. If it's above -300, it's also pretty close. When the line gets below -300, then the favorite will usually win.
