$20000 isn't even close to what he should be making. I can't believe I have to explain this.
You're both morons and I'm clearly wasting my time explaining some very simple concepts here. If you both want to believe that a guy with Nate Diaz's starpower making $16K to co-main event one of the biggest PPVs in recent memory is making what he's worth, then you're either delusional, know nothing about economics, or both. Either way, you'll clearly never understand, and I'm tired of discussing this.Comment -

You think that beating the third best lightweight in the world in the co-main event to Jones/Cormier is worth $40000?

#251So your argument about Diaz being underpaid is based on the fact that he co-headlined one of the biggest Pay-Per-Views in recent memory even though he hasn't been on a Pay-Per-View in 3 years?Comment -

#252If I remember right, Diaz had a $16,000 salary.
20% of his purse was awarded to Dos Anjos due to Diaz missing weight.
Then, Diaz was fined $10,000 for hassling Dos Anjos after weigh ins or for something else that was never specified.
If you factor in taxes, travel arrangements, having to pay his coaches and staff, fees for medical tests leading up to the fight. Diaz took a 3 round beating from Dos Anjos pretty much for free. His expenses were more than the salary he was paid for the fight.Comment -

#253His salary was originally 20k/20k and he had to forfeit 20% of that because he didn't make weight which brought it down to 16K.
If he is getting fined for doing stupid shit and throwing his money away, that is his own fault.Comment -

And no, my argument is not based on that. My argument is based on the fact that Diaz's drawing power is worth more than $16000, as I have repeated over and over again. I've surmised that you're not very quick on the uptake, so forgive me if I choose not to repeat the same point yet again in response to your inevitable repeating of your own point, yet again. It's like arguing with brooks, or reading Sac posts.
So if he was paid $160,000 would he have took the fight serious and actually made weight?
IMO he is lucky that the UFC even gave him another shot after running his mouth for so long and complaining. Then he comes back and doesn't make weight and puts on one of the worst performances of his career.Comment -

#256Oops, thought he was on a different card to JDS/Miocic. My bad.

Yeah, it's his own fault that he is getting severely underpaid, even though this all happened after he was contracted to make 20/20. Makes perfect sense.
He was also contracted to make the weight limit which he did not do. If he made that weight he would have been paid 20K.
It's his own fault that he got fined. Should the UFC pay him more so they can anticipate him getting fined and losing money?
I blame the fighter and his handlers.Comment -

#257You went into pretty descriptive detail about him co-headlining this huge PPV card trying to justify his lack of pay even though he was never on the card, so I would assume that your argument was primarily based on that.

#258That aside, LOL: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/1/13...-pissed-off-by
We did not want to waste valuable advertising dollars and creative team salaries on a fighter who is 36 and whose job is to job on Sunday. We wanted to get the best ROI by focusing on McGregor who will generate millions for us in PPV sales in Ireland and Ticket Sales.Comment -

#259Diaz draw power took a hit after that fight but to think the guy doesn't draw is almost as silly as him making 20 thou a fight. There is a reason Dana and Fertitas won't let him out of his contract and that is because they know like their workers in Las Vegas they got a scab deal. Why won't they just let him go if he is a bad draw like these two idiots believe? Makes no sense unless u know u have a great upper hand in this contract. They look out for the fighters lmfao. Love watching guys like Lombard and Reem keep making money they should on contracts the UFC had nothing to do with.Comment -

#275I tried going pro just the other day but I can't find an option or path on this forum to do so?? I hit the become a pro button and there is nothing further after being prompted to the rules and benefits page. I don't get it? Unless I'm just not welcome.... Had the crredit ccard in hand too.
Congrats Marz on becoming a Pro and I hope it helps your game, also it's very nice of you to give away all your bet points.. Respek!!! I know the bet points are mostly good for people that live in the States over here anyways so I'm sure you made someone happy.....Comment -
