i dont think canelo has the stamina to outlast floyd for 12 rounds ...floyd knows everyone thinks this is the biggest challenge of his career and will come in the best shape he possibly can be.....canelo has the tendency to take rounds off because he has to(although the open scoring in the trout fight allowed him to do so)....i think it may have something to do with his bone density.......then of course there comes the time when you get nailed with a pinpoint counter or lead right against floyd and guys start getting gunshy and realizing this dude is on another level and a step ahead of ya

Right on here. Canelo took rounds off vs trout. If he does that vs mayweather he doesn't win.

i still think him taking rounds off against trout may have been because the open scoring allowed him to....but he still doesnt have great stamina and does so without open scoring

It will, but when that and age is your only advantage.... doesn't really help much.
Canelo has fought one good fighter, Canelo isn't as active enough as he should in fights and he gasses way to quick.
All it takes is Mayweather landing the right a couple of times to discourage the kid.

How is Canelo going to solve Mayweathers Shoulder defense and cat quick counter ability. Throw in the suspect cardio and relative lack of speed. I do not see Canelo being able to touch Floyd often enough. Fight is in Vegas and is Mayweathers promotion. How much does Mayweather value his undefeated record? I know I would value it more than anything. More money would be made in the long run by Canelo winning, but I do not see this happening. I think Canelo gets bet up by the Mexicans like Pacquiao and the Phils. Easy fight for Floyd in my opinion.

Week of the fight, I wouldn't be surprised to see Mayweather a slight favorite in the -100 range.
After all the promoting and other people see the size and age of the kid, they'll think he'll actually win

Canelo could be 170-174 pounds come fight night. Floyd will be 155 pounds tops. If canelo lands flush I promise you floyd will do the amir khan wobble. Floyd was pressured in to this fight with showtime because the guerrero ppv numbers lost showtime money overall. This is a very dangerous fight for floyd anyone saying floyd easy... yea it may look easy in retrospect but lets call it what it will be. Russian roulette for 12 rounds for floyd we'll see if canelo can hit floyd. If he can all bets are off.

I know a lot of peoples reasons for floyd losing in the past have been size but its not only size. Canelo is not an old miguel cotto. Canelo is not victor ortiz or guerrero. He is MUCH faster. The only question about canelo is can he train to get in shape for 12 rounds of hard fighting as he has had stamina issues in the past.

I swear a dumber post is made every day here. Just because the guy has perfected not getting hit doesn't mean he doesn't have a rock solid chin. He's only been legitimately off-balance to where it looked like he could conceivably go down once his entire career on a perfect few blows, but he's been caught flush many times over his boxing career. You just don't remember the shots because he always took the ones that did connect in stride.

I like how you make something that is not a legitimate weakness in Floyd's game seem like a real issue and yet you also downplay what has proven to be a giant concern in each of Canelo's meaningless bouts to date. You're also an idiot if you think Canelo is a faster boxer than Victor Ortiz or Guerrero. Tougher yes, more powerful yes, he's a flat-footed kid that received a gift decision over Austin Trout.

hey... saw some of your posts on mayweather canelo... was thinking of betting this fight large... do you think canelo only wins because of GBP trying to milk this fight for all it's worth and set up another possible 1 or 2 matches?

while i dont think apricot is a complete idiot...he says things like "if marquez trains hard he will beat bradley easily"....as if marquez has ever given us any reason to believe he wont train hard....

he also says about canelo "can he train to get in shape for 12 rounds of hard fighting".....well do you think canelo compleley ignores conditioning? do you think he doesnt train to last 12 rounds at the championship level? of course he does....the question is does he actually have the capacity for 12 rounds of hard fighting??? i just dont believe he has the capacity for it....
