Let the ball tingling commence my friend - Though id prob. bet Damm outside of the parlay.

On the Damm fight, he is underrated. What makes me most about him, is that he is a Brazilian wrestling champion and BJJ practitioner, but seem to suffer from Gurgel Syndrome, where he doesn't utilize his best assets. However over Hirota, he has a 4 inch reach advantage and seemed to have evolved his standup game, beating Cavalho, (Depending on who you ask) who's better on the feet then Hirota. Though Hirota's hands might be a little better, Damm has some good striking defense and the ability to take it to the ground if needed. Coupled with Hirota traning in Japan for this fight and having to adjust to the jetlag and so forth, which often seems to be a problem for Asian fighters, and it being in Brazil, which boosts Damm up, I think the line is decent. Hirota is basically impossible to finish though, unless you snap him up and turn him into a damn pretzel, so I see Damm by dec.

Jorge Gurgel has been running a really good scam for years where he goes out and brawls and everyone says "If only he'd actually use his BJJ instead of brawling all the time, he'd be winning!" and forgets that in every UFC fight he went to the ground he got his ass kicked.

Been dithering on whether to play Markes but guess this solves that pickle...

MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources close to the fighter that Markes was today ruled out of the matchup. Additional sources said the the 25-year-old Brazilian was on Friday morning involved in an automobile accident. While Markes is said to not have been seriously injured, the incident will prevent the fighter from competing.

I'm not saying not to make the big parlay. If your bets are +EV, the effects of the parlay is multiplicative and very worthwhile.

TBH, you should always be parlaying ALL of your picks if you think they're +EV, in round robins.

Did anyone watch Werdum/Overeem 2 and legitimately think Overeem won round one? That's insane to me. Werdum was abusing him on the feet, and any time it hit the ground it was on Werdum's terms when he pulled guard. Yes, he flopped around like a fish, and Overeem got a big slam, but how much is that really worth? How does that win Overeem the round? Overeem clearly took the second round and the third was close, so I don't think the decision was bad, but the fact that two judges gave Overeem round one seems like a bad call.

Also, I wonder if we could get Cain at less than -250 against Werdum?

I gave the fight to Werdum and always argue it with others. Sure they both sucked ass. But Werdum as far as number of punches, I think out-struck Reem. And he got it to the ground when he wanted too. While Overeem sat on top and wouldn't move an inch.

I think the third round was reasonably close and could have conceivably gone to 'Reem, I thought Werdum took it though. Overeem obviously dominated round two, and I thought Werdum dominated round one. Werdum acting like a retard doesn't score points for Overeem.

Did you see Werdum's guard in the Overeem fight?

Looked pretty good in the Nelson fight, but once he starts to get tired, he's not very effective.

That said, I don't think it matters how good Werdum's guard is. MMA is simply at the stage where the best of the best are almost never going to get submitted while on top.

Doesn't change the fact that his standup game is still more awful than his ground. And him getting knocked out brutally time and time again seems like a bad scam to run.
